toolset looks interesting, but the limited races and classes seems limiting for considering for alfa 3.
perhaps with expansions?
Also not sure how well 4E will lend itself to real time. I enjoyed it as tabletop, but many options in combat can be complex.

NW3 is an MMO in the works, is it not? Not the kind of thing you do your own little servers of, I didn't think...
ALFA NWN2 PCs: Rhaggot of the Bruised-Eye, and Bamshogbo
ALFA NWN1 PC:
Jacobim Foxmantle
ALFA NWN1 Dead PC: Jon Shieldjack

Yeah.
Anything created in the foundry will be hosted on their own servers. There will be no DM client or live DMing at all. This is basically an MMO game.
Heero just pawn in game of life.

Yes, true, but it will be a nice side diversion imo.

I think we should go back to NWN1.

I don't like NwN1.
First Character: Zyrus Meynolt, the serene Water Genasi berserker. "I am the embodiment of the oceans; serene until you summon the storm." Zyrus:

Second Character: Damien Collins, the atypical druid. "What? Being a stick in the mud is boring. No pun intended

... says the punks who were fleeing the NWN1 servers like they were on fire back in 2008. We continued to support the platform until it was a ghost town, if you all recall.
But, no, right now client/server wrappers on NWN2 look like our best option, with possibly clinging to rewrite projects being our next best hope. If NWN2 starts to actually die (it's not; we're still phenominally more active than we were last year) we'd have to make some tough calls-- though finding out the legal viability of distributing a client rewrite (similar to GemRB's deal) for free would probably be our most-viable path forward.

Freee client, free to play?
Micro-transaction treadmill? Is that where they get the money?
Costs money to build your own adventure?
Pay per placeable?

Nothing about the pricing structure has been said yet, though I would highly suspect the Toolset to require a payment of some form to access.
Also, while I know it has been in development for awhile, going with 4E rules just seems...silly now that even Wizards has looked at them and said "Maybe that wasn't such a great idea" and is back tracking with D&D Next.

It's not a Neverwinter Nights game.
Remember, the OOC is key. The more you involve it, the better everything is.
