Aldwynn was picking mushrooms behind the Friendly Arm Inn and was surprised by a dire wolf from the woods. Despite his most valiant efforts to defend himself, the wolf viciously attacked and mauled him. Travelers may find a body in the vicinity.

Just FYI, Layla found Aldwynn's body on her regular mail run. She moved it to the Temple at the FAI for burial/cremation/whatever they do there.
