I do not want anyone, DM or otherwise, to ever play my characters for any reason....please.

I completely trust the DMs and even the other regular players to do that just fine (better? ), but, would very much rather not that ever happen.

Sorry, meant to imply *with coordination with the player*. I was also envisioning an RP standin, not actually playing the toon to lead the charge. *shrugs*

Gotcha 100%, and I understood where you were coming from, but, I also do not wish anyone else to RP-only my PC even more than in god forbid a combat situation -- anyone and their monkey can click buttons to summon an AI driven dire wolf, or cast a heal spell on a comrade... the RP part of my character(s) is the aspect of him that I definitely do NOT want anyone else controlling. But saying that, that just means 100% of the time as well, for me, since I try my best to RP even in combat.

Example 1: A past character of mine years ago was RP'd for me without my knowledge based upon a DM watching me play him for years, and it ended up creating a whole slew of IC circumstances between my PC and other PCs that I didn't think would have happened if I was there. Of course that would happen, especially if the encounter ended up resulting in a way that was not beneficial to either side... since there are so many ways to RP in so many directions based upon what is presented to you, there will always be differences of opinion - especially on ALFA (thank goodness!) since we are so passionate about our toons (well, at least I am about mine), and spend so much time, effort and mental energy developing them, I think we deserve to be passionate about them and their stories. Anyway. All good!

One very good reason for this (going back to Toliv): Yes, people have seen Toliv interact for weeks with other PCs. But in-game events recently have changed him to be VERY different than the way he was first observed. Several serious events - and Toliv is absolutely not the same Toliv most of the PCs who did know him before knew his as. But if someone who knew him IC 1 month ago took over for a session, I garantee you they'd be playing/RP-ing him dead wrong. :-/

Cool beans. Assuming Ayergo is available, lets plan on a rescue attempt Friday evening. We will need our big people of course (Kalo, Kree), and at least one healer (Tragnar or Toliv, preferably both). The rest of us are pretty much fungible.

Except me of course. Without me, its a guaranteed TPK. So, you know, keep ME alive, plzkthxbye.

Will be there. Toliv is front line fighter as well when needed. And he's a ranged support full build. And will summon extra tough front line creatures for expendable tanking (the best kind) and the fuzzies are very good at DPSing as well. And he can Ward people. And he can buff people. And he can disable and dispel baddies. Gonna be a hoot!

Just FYI, I *should* be available to play sometime between 1700 and 1800 tomorrow, but if things go sideways tomorrow afternoon, I might miss the game. I do not think things are going to sideways until Saturday, when the big event occurs, but you never know.

Not exactly. Its a main-course of Nazi-and-white-supremacist-assholes with a side of counter-protesters. Saturday is the so called "Patriot Prayer" group at Chrissy Field. So, almost the entire department is being called out. I have already lost count of how many counter-protests there are going to be. Should be a really, really shitty day.
