Might I say that Arctic Alumina was a lovely thermal paste to work with, also that for the first time EVER those darn clips for the heatsink worked right on the first try. *faints*

We've a backup host for situations like this. I'm bringing BG up on it until your situation is resolved. Poke me in IRC or via PMs before you bring BG back up.

EDIT: And, Temp BG is back up at bg.alandfaraway.org (use 75.140.152.56 if that doesn't work for you). Anything that relied on the campaign database will not function quite yet (which might just be p-storage).

The box is back up and running.

I'll try to remember to get some closeups of the damage later on today. That's one thoroughly welded dumpster in serious need of replacing. The asphalt under it is rather well buckled too and there's one slightly melted car. Alas, the camera in my phone wasn't great at dealing with the welding arc brightness of the wire so the pictures aren't great. My balcony is about 50 yards from where the line went down.

The new power supply for the server arrived ahead of schedule and since I'm not seeing anyone in game at the moment I'm going to go ahead and install it now. BG should be back up and running within the hour.

ADL is being difficult at the moment; I'm working on kicking it back into shape.

As shad0wfax is in epic battle with work stuff this month, and buying groceries is just the best, I get to post that BG gets a fun new static quest (the longest one in ALFA-- I don't suggest trying to complete it in one sitting), a new area (a labyrinth full of traps and monsters-- individual brushups are CR 1, but as a whole I'd call it CR 2-3), some necessary groundwork to make infestations work in practice, and a handful of fixes (some quest NPCs didn't spawn if you walked up to them too quickly; bad walkmesh and line of sight in the centipedes quest area; Ssilintarsk's orc chain no longer requires any special standing in the Ruqel community to start), and a jobs board sits outside of the Angel Feather which contains postings from the region and also gives some sense of what you have to do to flag these cool long quests BG is acquiring.
