BG down briefly and back up again. All BG statics brought into ACR compliance.

BG down briefly for an update. Price Standardization (580+ items, but nowhere near finished), Gullykin update, and some minor changes to herb and spell component gathering quests.

Hello powerful people of Baldur's Gate!

Just a quick FYI, my NWN failed a few times trying to login when the autodownloader tried to DL a tiny update something called: "unnamed_cave03.trx" or something like that... and could not log in at all... it tried 2 locations.

Not a big deal for me, it's all good, but perhaps others might have the same error... my connection/computer might also be the problem also.


Is it possible to get this file sent to my email, and can i manually place it in the appropriate folder perhaps, so to avoid even having to download it on my next attempt? Could that allow me to login maybe? If yes, let me know who to PM my email address to....

Go into your My Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2/modules/alfa010_bg folder, and delete that file. Then try redownloading it.

Important note: Sometime between 07:00 GMT and 14:00 GMT on 2014-05-08 BG's old domain of bg.alandfaraway.org is no longer functioning properly for connecting to the server.
The new host domain name is alfa-baldursgate.no-ip.biz / and the correct IP address is 71.187.212.67

For anyone who is connecting via direct connect, please either use the .biz address or the IP address. Another alternative is to browse for the server via GameSpy in the connections menu, and this will allow you to connect.

In the past we have tried to edit the OP with his sort of info. In fact, the IP was part of the thread title until I removed it a week or so ago.

DNS altered to point to Bill's new dynamic DNS service.

bg.alandfaraway.org is now pointing to the right place, and working. It may take a few hours for some people's local servers to update.

BG Down and back up again for some significant walkmesh changes and Quality Assurance.

The Tradeway from Baldur's Gate to the Friendly Arm Inn, both areas inclusive, and the Tradeway from Nashkel to Beregost, both areas exclusive, were overhauled.

Also fixed a static quest that had no conversation.

Thanks for the help on the areas between Nashkel and Beregost, Foam, and for advising on that ridiculous walkmesh just outside of BG.

(BG Gates Tradeway still needs a swim trigger placed for the west side of the map. Other areas of the server will be getting walkmesh overhauls in time.)

BG's down for a bit of maintenance.

BG went up and down a few times for updates without any real issue. Now, BG has lost connectivity with the database, and will be down for some time.
