Re: i watch anime
I really should get back to watching Attack on Titan. Last one I really got into was Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero.

Re: i watch anime
I've watched Akira
I've watched Fate/stay night but not Zero. How does that pale
Attack on Titan I hear so much about. But I dunno, I never bothered looking up to it.
Kill la Kill is airing right now. Mindless, over the top action with blatant fan service. Why do I love this so much

Oh yeah. That's why I love it.
It's made by the same guys that made Gurren Lagann. Possibly the manliest anime I've ever watched.
There's a lot of parallels to Kill la Kill and Revolutionary Girl Utena (and of course Gurren Lagann. You should watch both by the way.)

Re: i watch anime
I actually found Fate/Zero to be better than Stay Night. Still awhile before it comes out on DVD over here though unfortunately.
Re: i watch anime
25episodes out as far as i know. I enjoy it.it is not mindblowing. But i kinda like the settingSwift wrote:I really should get back to watching Attack on Titan. Last one I really got into was Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero.

Re: i watch anime
I have seen the first 3 or 4 episodes of it. My main issue is that I don't often feel like sitting down and watching stuff, so I will often just have shows playing on my second monitor while I am playing a relaxing game. However, I also hate english dubs of anime because they are almost universally terrible so I prefer subtitles, which means I must pay more attention.
I am sure I will get around to it, maybe during NaNo when I need some down time where I am just not doing anything.

Dubs... i -hate- dubs!
Re: i watch anime
Code geass, Death Note, Sword Art Online, and another vote for Attack on TItan. Legend of the Galactic Heroes is good too, if you can handle older anime.
Some of the macross stuff is decent too.

Re: i watch anime
I have downloaded Sword Art Online but am yet to watch it. Reactions seem to be a little mixed by I like the premise.
Another one I am curious about is Steins; Gate.

Re: i watch anime
The consensus that dubs are vastly inferior to original Japanese dubbed anime is really blown out of proportion. Like, there are plenty of anime that I can think of at the top of my head where the English dubbed is actually better than the sub.
Anyways the great thing about Code Geass is that it's a really good entry level anime. For someone who was never into anime, but wants to watch one, I almost always direct them to Code Geass regardless of what their interests are. It's just so easy to like.
