Recover the body! (Who's interested?)

Re: Recover the body! (Who's interested?)
OOC nod: Reincarnations aren't free; best find out what's needed ICly first, eh. Also, Scrying takes a bit of IC prep (not the least of reasons being because it uses up a valuable spell slot that helps keep people alive when out Adventurin') so warning might be in order if that avenue is explored.
Re: Recover the body! (Who's interested?)
Ok, time is of the essence here and I want to get this done so that if we succeed and the stars are right, etc.
Can we meet up today/tonight/tomorrow morning (depending on where you live) at 10 pm GMT+1 and work out all the kinks?
There is a time limit to how long his corpse can just lie around waiting to get animated or worse
Both me and pinkpink (Zeman + Zuul) are available at the above time. How about I-KP, Hyme, DarkMystic and Iarwain?
I am sure that others would be up for it as well. I heard Gribo was game, jmecha, MaskedIllusion and Matti as well. (even though they sneak for shite)
Oh, and Dusk? Are you available?
EDIT: Changed the time back one hour to 10pm GMT+1

pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were
concerned more with real-world application of ideas than with abstract notions. A pragmatic person
is sensible, grounded, and practical.

Go ahead without Tam if you need to. No reason why the Reincarnation, if it happens, can't be done under comicbook time..?
Re: Recover the body! (Who's interested?)
I will be at work at that time
. Good luck. You should get him now there is 11 players on ms right now.

Re: Recover the body! (Who's interested?)
Just heard the bad news that four characters died in the attempt.... I can't express how sick I feel at this result, and how sorry I am..... Please accept my deepest apologies to all who tried... you just wanted to help and got death instead.... I am SOOOO sorry....so sorry. This was exactly the outcome I feared. I should have had the courage to just come back with a new toon and scotch this effort before it got so many killed. My abject and humiliated apologies to all concerned.

It wasnt your fault Chris, I dont think you need to worry about it.
Re: Recover the body! (Who's interested?)
Chris. It would have been wrong by several characters most inherit personality traits to only leave you be. We died as a consequence of many factors, but you are not one of them. We did what we thought best, as well as we could within the setting. And we got slaughtered. That is not due to your actions by any way Chris. You granted us nice rp and your character befriended folks that just could not leave your fate be. I thank you for keeping the RP flag high and for being a very nice experience along my bumpy road along ALFAs hardcore ways.

I have no idea what went down, Chris, but you need not apologize. Your IC and OOC friends wanted to continue the story and perhaps give you a chance to continue yours. Sometimes PCs dying is part of the story. Sometimes it is even the best part, depending on the story.
Talk less. Listen more.

Re: Recover the body! (Who's interested?)
My condolences and regrets to the folks involved, I (along with most everyone else on MS I think) really enjoyed the Trills and Tomarr and Tatiana, etc, and they had a big huge part of the resurgence of activity on MS. I'm really bummed... but spectacular failures are just as much part of the story as glorious successes in ALFA.
Take some time to recover if you need, and good luck on your future PCs; may your experience with them be just as fun if not more so than the ones you lost.

This is awesome. Players went into near certain death, and via some bad luck, gave their lives ICly (from the debriefing always stay very far behind your scout, never parallel - you don't know who is there off to the side.)

I'm sorry I wasn't around to help, not sorry I wasn't involved in the dying part.
Chris... It's part of life in alfa. Use those feeling of guilt like an actor uses feelings to be able to portray them when needed in their art. They are not needed to be dwelt upon... but they can be turned into a more powerful experience for you in the future.
Get back in the game, reward yourself and the rest of us with good and rich RP, and know that we will all be doing the same... time, and time again.
Good luck to you, and all those who are starting new characters.

Re: Recover the body! (Who's interested?)
"Double piss flaps." Looks like the team needed the wee Hin that shouts the retreat after all; the Trills never knew when to back down.
Team Hin didn't last long did it. Oh well, back into obscurity we slide once more. Bravo to everyone who gave it a go tho. *doffs cap*
