The one time that they tried to bring someone to court based on the three strike piracy law they backed down after not been able to prove it was her and not a flat mate. The only teal effect that the law has had is to make people more weary.

The point is it should never have been enacted in the first place. It carried next to no public support and only got put through because it was bank rolled by Hollywood via political and public group donations.
