Thanks all, I'm hoping that MS while it's an open server will be a good place to practice and learn. More people should be doing this! (I'm looking at you Jmecha, Galadorn, Maxcell, Lou, etc)

omg lol-bbq#%48^%8@34 ...probably never on ALFA... too many people hate my guts i think - and all i see is future complaints to PAs and Adminz and HDMz etc,e tc, etc....
But if 4-6 of you move to Shanghai, i'll PnP-DM your bunz off. True book.
But... enough about me! THANK YOU ITH! ....looking forward to the carnage... or at least avoiding the carnage so much as Bu that even you hate my guts.

No one hates you. Give it a go. I get the feeling that you might be surprised.

Always wanted to. But everyone.... everyone else... is a DM. Or was one. I was never a fan, that everyone who also plays... has full access to DM forums, so, thus, there just is no more surprises anymore.Adanu wrote:No one hates you. Give it a go. I get the feeling that you might be surprised.

But, I do not assume I would even be approved, nor expect to be... and in finality, I really just want to play. Bu's only jsut started. Took this long to get him to where he is now, so NOW his story can almost finally start. Hmm... maybe in a year or so in fact. He's jsut not got the IC background and history complete yet! Lots to do... lots to do....

I sympathize with this to some extent... That's all I'll say.Galadorn wrote:I was never a fan, that everyone who also plays... has full access to DM forums, so, thus, there just is no more surprises anymore.Adanu wrote:No one hates you. Give it a go. I get the feeling that you might be surprised. If i ever did DM, I would probably want some low level security clearance, no access to DM forums, ...like some kind of "Adlib-on-the-spot-DM" to pop in erratically and shake up just immediate current happenings, without the need to know all the secrets of every PC. Just login, RP-DM NPCs, cause fun problems for whoever is on, maybe advance some PC's stories and minor wishlists... and of course ....drop PHAT LEWT and exhorbitant (spelling?) amounts of XP.

You just moderate yourself Gal.
I never read any of the bio's other than of people I actualy meant to DM.
Never even read Bu's bio even though we had a few games.
If you want low level access thats where you put yourself.

Re: Please welcome Ith as MS DM
This. There exists no 'low level' access. If you become a DM, you are elevated into the DM forum group which gives you your servers DM and builders forum, along with all the other forums that it is deemed appropriate for DMs to see.kid wrote:You just moderate yourself Gal.

If you do not want to see what they contain, you simply do not go in there.

Well you're missin' out kimosabe...kid wrote: I never even read Bu's bio even though we had a few games.

we had dozens of games!!
It's so warming you never read the bio!!!

See that's the real problem, if I was to ever DM, I think it is my responsibility to know the bios/plans/desires of the PC's I DM. Just my opinion.
But I want to keep the mystery with the PCs I also play with. So tis a conundrum!
Re: Please welcome Ith as MS DM
It is your responsiblity. to know-read the bio of your "group".
But when it comes to problem solving? or helping with this and that? a few one time things?
No way.
I've DMed most toons in ALFA. if i had to read the bios off all of them it would have blown my mind.
So just the few of my regular group was enough.
It helps keep the DM sane.
helps keep the fun when you return to play and dont know every meta detail.
And I think also fair to players that know you're not all up in thier bussiness just becuase you crossed paths as DM-player once.
Anyway... if you want to do it another way thats up to you.
The point is, DM, and moderate yourself however you see fit.
