Spawning
Starting next week I will be periodically placing spawns onto the sever to simulate the northmen invasion. I will continue this when MS returns to the vault on Jan 15th.

Do we have any stats on new GSIDs showing up on MS OAS? I've been keeping an eye on the server using Zelk's monitor tool (top stuff, BTW) but the only people I've seen log in have been regulars. No new player introduction posts leads one to assume that no-one has yet taken that final step of joining.

Agreed. I've tried a bit of loitering ingame with my new PC. The one session we had (quite fun as it was) was all old timers.

try inviting friends from other projects onto MS. With Gamespy eating right before we launched this project, it has not been the best of times.

Timing is everything... it was unfortunate what happened with gamespy with the timing of things. Might not have been the best time to run this experiment.
