Drags a boney fingernail slowly up the front of the armrest so caked with ages of filth, it leaves a jagged white trail.

Instead of a new server.. How about expanding existing servers? Fix the area's that have a bajillion caves and no AT's..and all the cave entrances that do nothing.

ATless caves indicate the build team had grander plans that were not finished.

As always I can use more caves. interior parameters:

16x16 max, one cell buffer

I am accepting all donations. if i get too many i'll add more surface entrances.

Castano is right, anyone can easily make a cave in the toolset. Its a shame no one does.

Heero would you be willing to lead a kype'd or irc'd workshop on cave building?

People could use the original game toolset, no need for the alfa haks etc if they are just playing with the cave tileset.

#alfa-cavedwellers anyone?

You and he can no doubt have a jolly good chuckle and pat each other on the back about it in IRC. If I did make a mistake it was to perhaps assume that we've advanced beyond petty trolling. More fool me.

Im a little confused over what the big deal is here. I understand magile's complaints as he complains about everything, but I dont really understand the other complaints. So some of us want to work on something, whats wrong with that?

No, I-4856 (Sorry, don't remember his name and didn't see it down below) has assumed that I am a troll by the comments here. I am not a troll. I am a wee bit of a rabble-rouser.
rab·ble-rous·er [rab-uhl-rou-zer]
noun
a person who stirs up the passions or prejudices of the public, usually for his or her own interests; demagogue.

Now, that being said, I don't give a flying flip about the things talked about on this thread. Population control, graphs, inversion and conversion and reversion all bore me silly. And this is part of what the problem is, in my not so humble opinion. See, this place was hi-jacked by people (usually from Europe) with really big brains and a really small focus (you thought I was gonna say penis, didn't you?). These big brained euro cyborgs are really great for creating systems and formulas and flowcharts. They are needed, in moderation. When they are all you have though, you end up with a system in place that even bureaucrats that have been potty-trained at gunpoint can have shower nozzle masturbation fantasies about. Here's the issue though, it is just not FUN.

And in the end, this isn't about creating a system, it is about immersing people in a fantasy world.
It is about losing yourself for 10 minutes or 10 hours in someone else's imagination.
It is about mattering as a PC instead of subjecting yourself to the workhouse grind of the big MMOs.

So, you do your thing and build framework and rules (ish). But give me the freedom of not giving a damn about what you are doing and create the world that people will want to be in.
Who killed Cock Robin? Who killed Cock Robin?
