Gods, its just sad to see you still here all pathetic like...
Makes me want to make you a chai latte and cover you in a warm blanky...
Hows it been, pal?
Here is a relative term, I haven't actually played in like four years. I don't know if that's more or less pathetic. A mother DM session might get me back, if it's on this ridiculous time zone I've moved into. All is good, having a real life is cool even though there are utility bills and stuff.
All you newbies, if you get the opportunity to play in a mommy campaign jump on that thing. You won't regret it (much).
Can someone direct me to the info? This place has so many rules, standards and so on that it reminds me of a Scientology boot camp. I am hoping that there is some kind of comprehensive guidebook or something somewhere.
Can I build and host my own area or do I need to work with an already established DM? I'd rather put together my own team, build my own area and run it, if I'm being honest. But I don't know what you nerds consider copacetic now.

Can we build whatever we want? Like a post-apocalyptic Shadowdale with a portal opened to Sigil?

Magile, don't be afraid and threatened. Little ducks usually do when a big gator comes back to the pond. Storming out implies passion and passion is what is needed it appears. Regardless, I am glad that you at least made the attempt at reaching out through posting.
