I was going to stay up for our midnight kick off but I had to start work at 6am in the morning so I decided I would do the smart thing and get some sleep instead. Writing starts in earnest once I get home. We have a girl here in Adelaide that's going for 50k in the first day. She was at 14.1 by 5am.

I was reasonably happy with my first day (5099 words) which mirrored last years effort. The chick aiming for 50k in a day managed the task with 3 minutes left.

Wow... I feel inept. I'm not starting until our kickoff party tonight because it's more fun for me. 50K in a day doesn't even sound like fun...!

I am also, more unprepared than I have ever been, we'll see what vomits out my fingers onto the keyboard tonight. (Still no names)

Anyways if you want to be Namo buddies, my handle is Clouddancing. It says right now if I keep writing like this i'll be done by November 6th. But if I keep writing like this I am going to need an ambulance and intravenous fluids.

Can you write lying down CD? I'm sorry to hear you have a cold, I hope you feel better soon! I can't help but be a little envious... getting to stay home... with all that time to write! Stupid job.

Our Kick Off party saw over 30 people show up so that was awesome. I made people do word wars as is my reputation. Didn't get as much writing done as I'd like since I had to do ML-y things and greet people etc but still made the minimum word count wooo!

My characters have names HURRAY and I have a naming system so new names shouldn't be a problem.
