DM BOOM! (In the room!)

Post by boombrakh »

So yeah, i'm apparently a DM on TSM. That means I probably shouldn't just sit around on my ass reading the DM forums, giggling with glee, but actually create some of those adventuars that I told Curm i'd do.

I'm not very well versed in the DM client, but it doesn't seem that hard to figure out and I prefer to learn by doing, not by studying. So what i'm looking for is a few brave souls who would be interested in risking life and limb at the hands of my sadistic machinations.

My DMing is very player-centric. I tend to want to develop the PCs and not through xp, but stories. It's usually not very fast paced unless that is called for and heavily RP-focused. I am a firm believer of cause/effect and action/reaction so whatever you do, there is likely something good and something bad coming out of it. Plainly, there is no 100% winning with me. Good doesn't always triumph and evil isn't always "EVIL! (tm)"

The powers that be would like me to be invested in the main plot with them orcses but to tell you all the truth, it's so impressively well written and huge it scares me. I've tried a few times and I don't feel comfortable with the client enough to risk it. There will be tie-ins but that's mostly it.

So, what am I looking for? Well, It's pretty simple. I'm going to start by building a few NPC's that will be the key antagonists/protagonists (depending on choices made by the players) and then i'll form an adventuring company with a sponsor. That means i'll be focusing the first session around the auditions and introducing some people.

When will I start? Well, i'm going to try to work around running games on saturdays GMT-ish. Exact time isn't set, but it can be early or late or somewhere in the middle. (Stay tuned for that). What do I need at this point? Well, basically I need a show of hands on who'd be interested in coming together in order to make some coin and to work for someone else. Missions can and will involve anything and everything, so be prepared.

That's about it for now. I'll take it personally if no one is interested.. Just saying.

ooc I would love to sign up bro; ICly it may be a bit of a stretch for my toon currently (would've been a perfect fit a couple of months ago). :(

Although... war efforts certainly need to be funded, especially with the current effort to raise money for some diamonds...

In my limited recent experience, opportunities for coin might reveal player interest.

Hmm... Saturdays with Boom scaring the bejeezus out of me.
It's been awhile, but I recommend it highly for anyone who hasn't had the experience.

If you don't see me Boom, it's only because I'm trying to avoid having a 40 hour/week ALFA habit again! Honest!
