Re: DM & Player Props
Thanks to Ronan, Foam, Jmecha and the others for the good work today, along with many hearty apologies for the RL crisis that took me out for a much longer than I'd anticipated.
The delay may have spoiled things a bit for Foam and Jmecha, but for me Ronan succeeded again in making me go 'wow, this feels like an old school ALFA session' in terms of dramatic tension and effective dialog even long after the 'I think we're going to die' feeling faded away. Major kudos and thanks.

Reestablishing my love of alfa one week at a time. AND making my usual level 3/4 retirement less likely!!!
Thanks also to rump, ec, veil, swift, thangs and cres. Great chars and RP and fun.

Re: DM & Player Props
Thank you so much to the many many players who helped me craft Kara's tale, one interaction at a time. The past six months have easily been the highwater mark of my ALFA career, and I owe that entirely to the magnificent roleplayers that generously shared some of their precious playtime with me.
I'm very happy to say that I got to see all my rp wishes for her fulfilled in her short and tragic foray into the Life she dearly loved, and for that a million thanks. May you all feel the same when your own puppet makes his/her final voyage to the outer planes.
It goes without saying I suppose, but it all would have been a lot of boring hours spent at the 'Stars drinking without the efforts and kindness of the addicted and devoted storytellers that fill Baldur's Gate and make it live. You people rock.
See you 'round the Realms,
Peter

Re: DM & Player Props
+1 along the praise for Paazin and DM Cobalt.
Another set of praise for Darkmystic and Ronan whose Kobolds and Umberhulks hunted us along swimchecks and confusion as our strikes/arrows/spells were aimed at both friend and foe. A truly nice session that left me just about as exhausted as my character.

Re: DM & Player Props
A big thanks to Kid, Veilan, Swift, Rumple C, Dorn, Thangs and Creslyn for great RP/DM-age, which gives me something something to look forward to each week, when
I jack back into the matrix and escape RL for a while. It's what keeps me active in ALFA, and willing to take on new projects.
Majorly opened my eyes recently, when we stormed a slaver ship, killed or captured it's owners, and I thought "wow, we own a ship!".
Really looking forward to Kert building his Gish Castle some day.

((Kerts floating gish castle last seen floating in the wrong direction, as he declares he is just headed up the road for a loaf of bread))
And yes, Oceania player group + hostage DM as posted above = fun.
