Re: Amn PC's
Seems to be a lot of bad feelings generated by this thread. While I don't have an issue with transferred PCs, I am against it if they cause tech problems. Tech time dealing with just 4-5 PCs is not time well spent IMO. In addition, based on Bogs' post that the "new ALFA Amn" will be different than the the "old EXO Amn" I am starting to wonder whether there really is a "story based" justification for transferred PCs. How about those PCs are just NPC'd instead?
Re: Amn PC's
I am sorry If im thick...
I can't see what tech issues this would cuase. DMs can set XP and grant appropriate items. which does not involve the tech team.
The only problem would be with the global XP gains from which sourse? thats it?
That can be easily overcome, and can hardly be considered a tech issue.
Anything else?

No; I want the option to swap for Damien not only because I'd like to see his story continue, but because i actually, you know... like the PC?.oldgrayrogue wrote:Seems to be a lot of bad feelings generated by this thread. Story would be a bonus for me. Damien was not tied to the old Amn structure as much as other PCs were, and he'd have no problem adjusting.

I think most would agree. However, those potential problems need to be identified if the whole idea is to be thrown out citing ‘tech problems’ as being a major contributory factor.oldgrayrogue wrote:I am against it if they cause tech problems.
Unless I misunderstood, players with Exo:Amn PCs that held heavily influential positions of power would likely to be asked to relinquish most of that influence or have the PC become an NPC. Sounds like a fair and just thing to ask. (For what it’s worth, I chose the NPC route in part due to this likely condition.) As I read it I think this is partly where Bogs is coming from: the changes in the way that the Amn game will play might be designed to make such retconning feel less jarring.oldgrayrogue wrote:...I am starting to wonder whether there really is a "story based" justification for transferred PCs. Weeks poll has ended, with 2/3rds in favor. All the valuable input is much appreciated, and has given me a better scope as far as putting a proposal together.

<Castano>: danielnm - can you blame them?
<danielmn>: Yes,
<danielmn>: Easily.
