ALFA 1:
The life of Bhael Ezri which spanned 4 RL years. His relationships with Kataney (Wynna), Shae (Muse), Thom (Electryc). His role in The Obsidian Blades and his crew The Golden Crows. When he became a lord, buying his first ship Fate's Fortune, and opening up his trading business. Standoff with Lafter's pc Mashin(sp?) and his strong arm friend due to Shae. How he hated Aerthyn(sp?) but did not even know he existed.

Nyarlothep's plot called Myhnos's Heart.

Finding DM Electryc's toon, or what was left of it in a huge pile of dog poop.

ALFA 2:

Blaise Dawnbright and Ragnus's last stand in BRM's/danielmn's plot.

Bastian Cross pushing down boulders on his own guildmates because they would not allow him to kill a NPC responsible for the death of his family and almost killing Scisha (Mick) and Rhaggot (BB). The multiple beat downs by Voric (OGR) and how it spiraled the entire Sword's Edge group into a frenzy. The trading of his soul for revenge and the resulting arrest and suicide attempt.

DMing Kaleb(Dirsa) through a Malar plot and watching the effects it had on the pc.

Watching Garlus fight Ian Greybeard and Barrin from the DM sidelines on autofollow.
Ian got crisped by a wall of fire Garlus had and was the hotly contested item of desire.

Garlus was on the ropes with low HP from this heavily buffed Hin priest of Velsharoon four levels or so lower than him

Then suddenly my screen went to a load screen and we were standing in the Lady's College.

And I was yelling at my computer "Noo! What?!" and then yelled a cheer dumbfounded at what just happened.

I can't read the chat on those screenshots. Too small.
First Character: Zyrus Meynolt, the serene Water Genasi berserker. "I am the embodiment of the oceans; serene until you summon the storm." Zyrus: http://tinyurl.com/9emdbnd

Second Character: Damien Collins, the atypical druid. "What? Being a stick in the mud is boring. No pun intended grins"

Cloud, you and Autofollow just do not mix. It's a bad, bad, bad relationship. :)

ALFA 1:
Rail-roading Lereth (played by paazin) into a death, DM-killing him, and totally getting away with it.

Rail-roading Myrilis (played by Almighty T-Dawg) into a death, DM-killing him, and totally getting away with it.

Any plot by UglyStrike (especially the one where Lathanderites defended a vampire who Aszune was not allowed to kill) because they were awesome.

Capturing one of Killthorne's villain NPCs and having him be totally pissed about it. Then watching the same DM drop a flaming inn on Valdur.

Worst moment: NOT having Valdur firebrand all the lowby drow in Ched Nessad in a massive and totally one-sided CvC. I shall regret this to the day I die.

ALFA 2:
Ksiel wrote:Bastian Cross pushing down boulders on his own guildmates because they would not allow him to kill a NPC responsible for the death of his family and almost killing Scisha (Mick) and Rhaggot (BB). This. Especially the part where the PC drops rocks on his own party

Killing Merrin Allister. Oh, wait, that was only in my dreams... Though I am convinced they are prophetic dreams!1

Killing Heero's gnome because he did not deliver Sshamath in time.

Sword's Edge in the Underdark. Especially the parts where Salt becomes Saltine, and a PC unknowingly calls in the Mindflayer Mafia.

Maeredhel shooting an orphan in the face, and totally not giving a crap.

Having a murderous Cyrist blow up a wagon full of women and children.

Hey everyone,

Thanks so much for sharing these! There's been so many great stories crafted over the years in ALFA, and so much of it by the nature of our little game that goes untold to the wider circle of players. I really appreciate being allowed a little peek at all the tales of valour and terror. Some of those battles! I'd need a week's vacation in RL to recover from the stress!

A few of my favourites:

Jared Westlake:

Sharing Garlus' fire outside the gates of Rivermoot, and having him give me some warrior pointers, as he stood sentinel against the hordes of orcs that would flood down the hills during one of the many sieges of the village

Languishing on the hill overlooking the river in the 'Moot, desperately trying to think of a few lines of song to woo the beautiful blonde warrior of Lathander with, and failing miserably

Helping to hold Rivermoot, as wave after wave of orcs crashed against her walls

Leah Silvertree:

Searching the marshes near Baldur's Gate ( a much smaller Baldur's Gate) with a few brave (foolhardy?) adventurers, and finding the lair of Bolnak, the witch. Demanding of the same that she stop murdering the children of the city, and shortly after running for our lives through a terrifying shroud of mist, with legions of undead reaching for us in the gloom

Kara Ravensfell:

Oh gosh, too many to count here, but here's a few favourite moments in her story:

The night in the 'Stars Liam was showing off his new boots to us and challenged Kara to pick out the sound of him moving. She closed her eyes to concentrate better, opening them again in shock as she realized Liam had walked across the table in front of her and planted a kiss on her forehead. The hilarious scuffle that followed as Kara knocked Liam off the table and tried to wrestle his boots off his feet

Kara's on again off again relationship with Kori, and long nights spent in her room at the Kegs with Persephone, Ael, and Rani trying to console her that it would work out, if only she'd give it time. It always did, too, but the teen angst was priceless

The night a huge group of people showed up at Kara's door to spirit her out of the city to the safety of the Temple of Selune, after a very trying night at the Watch and her resulting tirade about the city had put her in some danger. Her shock at the number of people willing to help her was easy to play. I remember saying aloud 'Holy crap that's a big posse' once or twice as I smiled at my monitor

Her night of touristy wonder, marvelling at the sights of the Lady's College in Silvy. There was this snowball fight on the roof with Rani, Persephone and Aislinn that still makes laugh thinking about it

The fantastic nights of song at the 'Stars, listening to Kori singing out from her repertoire of amazing compositions

Watching Voric fall face first in full armour in the mud and runoff water of a ditch south of the city, and knowing in quiet terror and glee that if she laughed out too openly he may just saw off her head

Playing out all the subtleties of Kara and Horatio's friendship, watching in joy as they claimed each other as brother/sister. It was a story that almost seemed to tell itself, some nights. Thanks so much Gonz, it was fantastic.

Kori. Ohh, Kori. If you havent had a chance to play with Loulabelle yet, then you're missing out.

Keep them coming everybody, they're great!

Cheers,

Peter

Dean's Quest - going through some of the quests with the mages, Marcus and Ashton. Wynna did an extremely remarkable job as far as scripting for this...I was truely amazed at what she was able to accomplish with the toolset, and have seen nothing of the like since.

Favourite moments...
  • With Marissa:

Helping out a drow PC survive in Neverwinter, only to have them both thrown in an arena to fight each other to the death.

Some of the fun political scenes with Rumple DMing in TLR, including the election for mayor and getting captured by some devil/demon/evil thing.

Trying to piece together the remainders of the Wayfarers, after everyone died.

Returning to TLR ages later, to find my little bard was forced into the role as the server's tank, surrounded by a bunch of low levels (who could have probably killed me with a couple of blows).

Some great RP with Neo and Kalev.

Seeing a status built of her, after she died.
Also, been DMed by ShiningHand Monk in TSM, through my various PCs.

Playing with Deathmage and our Redfoot tribe of hins.

Playing Fangtooth.

A great adventure in Westgate, where my low level PC got roped in (through her own fault) to helping out steal some big shipment of something for someone. Some great moments there, climaxing in getting my poor level twos ass fried by a flame strike.

DMing, playing and then DMing again on TPI.

The final days of NWN1 on Serbia, playing a fallen Cleric of Helm.

Chatting and interacting with some great people, both IC and OCC, over the way-to-many years.
