Probably, as long as it's actually a calm pond; I wouldn't want to give a blanket "yes, always" -- because what if there's a magic whirlpool that starts up on the sight of naked dudes? -- but ordinary calm unoccupied ponds should be safe to swim in provided you shed the encumberance and remove the armor.

DMyles, if what you're angling for is a moonlit swimming date with the hunky unarmored man* of your choice, PM me.

On a side note, will WG get a racial to bypass drowning?
First Character: Zyrus Meynolt, the serene Water Genasi berserker. "I am the embodiment of the oceans; serene until you summon the storm." Zyrus: http://tinyurl.com/9emdbnd

Second Character: Damien Collins, the atypical druid. "What? Being a stick in the mud is boring. No pun intended grins"

It was mentioned in the changelog. Water genasi get a new power, though they don't lose any old power or anything.

An oversight. Water genasi can expect to swap their damage reduction for their canonical saving throw bonuses once we have enough swimmable areas that the swimming is a tangible benefit.

I may make the lowhill pond a calm swimming area...just be advised the halfing guards patrol the bank so if they catch you skinny dipping you may be ticketed.

Dinky titties ALFA does not need. Gravity defying and 'attentive' impossiboobs on some of the Human Female sheers is already way more than enough. (Anything larger than a handful is a waste anyway.)

seemed this post is getting sidetracked, remember this is about swimming. So in the spirit of that why don't we talk about swimming/drowning in boobies

Since this is the swimmiest thread I see, hey Zelknolf, do you think Air Genasi could get the water-breathing type effect too? Maybe in exchange for something else NWN2 grants them...

"Breathless: Air genasi do not breathe, so they are immune to drowning, suffocation, and attacks that require inhalation. "

Doesn't mean they swim like fishies, just "not gonna drown." Don't know if we have any current Air Genasi PCs but you never know what comes next.
