The High Queen stood across the gates of the Royal District announced while holding a beautiful newborn child in one arm, her husband King Keane by her side.
"Rebirth will come from the loss of lives here tonight. Their energy will be tilled into the soil of our lands, warm into the bosom of the Goddess, to feed our children for years to come.
To the orphans open your homes Caer Calidyrr and the Cantrevs as well. To the widows see their tears are comforted. To the families who have lost, soothe your grief in charity. Let ANY who go door to door begging for foods have their baskets go unempty as the Autumnal Equinox comes to pass.
Finally, those who ended the foul scourge than started this plauge, the unholy Vampires that clogged our city with flith, I have a promised reward for each of you.
Moreover, these brave souls, from around the world even, saved the life of the High Wizards's best beloved child. However as the crier's tell, High Wizard Madeline passed from this world in that same effort not long after her childbirth.
I mention this not to belittle the lives lost my people but to know that my court has lost a dear friend and advisor.
*she holds the baby*
But HERE, here is proof Chauntea's love provides. The babe Rosa pure and perfect as the act of creation that beget her. Again I pray to the Goddess, the land herself, to stir, and give us a long Northman's summer so we may approach the Winter prepared and tucked into our homes soothed and safe"

Re: Tavern Tales & Rumours
*rumor is a shipment of expensive of Waterdavian Beaver Pelt Top Hats as been misplaced or stolen from a travelling merchant ship restocking in Cantrev Corwell.
Some think it was a protest over the exploitation of Waterdavian Beaver proliferation. Other think it was a band of Hin thieves with good taste in headwear. Other just think they have been siphoned off into the black markets of Skaug and other mysterious locations.
BUT the Waterdavian Trade Company LTD is offering a ten gold reward hat, per hat for their return, payable at the Twisted Sail in Caer Calidyrr by their broker.*

Several acolytes looked on in wonder as the gift was made, while the high priest appeared to try to contain his delight. One acolyte was rumored to have told his friends - what good luck, she doesn't know what these are!!!
Rumor has it a large private party was held in the back of the temple that very day and for many hours afterwards various druids, priests and other holy people were seen wandering the temple smiling stupidly in a tupor. The mushrooms and herbs have not been seen since.

Marauders on the King's Road!
The way to Kingsbay is blocked by bandits and killers.
the odd group has made its first appearace about 20 days ago
and been growing in ferocity.
Travelers are adviced to NOT take to that road as groups of up to 20 skilled men
have been seen patroling it, warriors archers and spellslingers attacking all.
The Koart guard refuses to take action.
no word has been heard from Kingsbay yet.

Regarding bandits.
A group of Adventurers entered Koart recently, Claiming that the recent bandit activity had been dealt with, unhurt and fresh they proclaimed that nearly twenty of the criminals had been killed and that it was once again safe on the kingsroad, A man in Mithril plate proclaimed it openly.
They got an audience with the lord Koart and was seen shortly after heading east, claiming to investigate a potential camp and hopefully find missing villagers.
The group returned, staggering, limping and bleeding heavily during the night, muttering and cursing. The group they had dispatched earlier was obviously not the full force or reason of unrest in the area, and it seems they must have been a bit to hasty in their proclamation of peace. They could be heard warning villagers of well armed half-orcs in the woods.
The group consisted of:
A female warrior in a red cape, wielding a greatsword in a single hand.
A white haired woman in silver colored breastplate.
A one eyed dwarf.
A white haired man wearing a mithril full-plate.
A ginger man in a rusty Helmite armour

*The people of Corwell town are locking their doors tonight, taking in their pets, and keeping their children under close eyes as Lizardfolk have swam up to the levy and are pestering ships coming in and out. No one is allowed on the levy unless they are heavily armed and prepared to deal with scaly vengeance.*

-- Rummor has it that the guards in Corwell, Cantrev Koart, and Cantrev Kingsbay are working together to investigate a number of strange happenings and the murders of two people. The first a Selunite Priestess and the second a cloth washing girl who was drowned in her own Tub. The guards are questioning travelers in all three of these towns about their business when they arrive. In addition travelers at night are being turned away in Cantrev Koart and Cantrev Kingsbay as both towns close their gates at night. Whatever is going on its got everyone uneasy --

Re: Tavern Tales & Rumours
More than a score of ffolk villagers, guards, and even children lay dead after a middle night raid on Cantrev Dynnatt by pirates. The long, blonde hair and thick beards on a few of the raiders that died in the combat lend credence to the rumor that these norhtlanders are again ready to wage war upon the ffolk.
The pillagers set fire to some of the thatched huts in town as well to some of the outer pallisades. It will take some work to repair the damage done. But the painful mourning for those innocents killed in raid will go on much longer.
(Edit DM_kid)
All services at Dynnatt are closed until the town recuperates from the attack.
Inns, mail, smithy and the rest of the towns workers
are either dead or busy with repairs.
The Captain of the guard has informed travelers it may be a few days
before the town is again open for outside business.
