So theres this wonderfull feature by KEMO of adding a portrait to your description, it has been pointed before in another thread, lost in time, but I think we all should use it, it shows other players how they should imagine your PC, its an added RP factor.
This thread could be used to track everyone's portrait, sum them all up for download so that everybody has easy access to the portraits.
I sugest leaving a post with the link to your portrait here and I'll edit the thread adding the links, or a link to a package of portraits for download, making it easy for everyone to get them.
Using the system is pretty simple, it has been pointed out on another thread by Mirabai, I'll just copy it here:
Spoiler:
Custom Portraits / Descriptions
You may now create and link a custom portrait for your character. We have adapted the GUI from Kemo's bio/description Editor off nwvault to be compatible with ALFA's systems, so you may change portrait and description as often as you like. NOTE: this is NOT the same as the custom 2D portrait option from double-clicking the 3D head representation on your character sheet in-game. That system should NOT be used, as it causes major problems for DMs in-game. Leave the default 3D portrait there. Custom portraits are optional, so they are not included in the auto-downloader materials. In order to see the portraits, you need to do the following:
Unpack the portrait pack into the /portraits folder in the documents branch of your NWN2 install (typically /username/my documents/neverwinter nights 2/portraits
Look over the portraits via windows explorer or the image viewing program of your choice.
Make a note of the filename of the portrait you want for your PC.
When in-game with your PC, right-click on the ground and select "Edit Description"
Enter the portrait filename (without the .TGA part) into the box on the right
Enter a text description for your PC on the left
Click "Save" to finalize these changes.
This text description should show to other players OnExamine(), and both the text and portrait will display for other players who choose "Inspect" instead. (note: Inspect needs a scripting fix, but should be working right in the next day or so).
If you want to create your own custom portrait, edit an existing one, or otherwise add something that's not available, here are some guidelines:
Portraits must be in TGA format.
Potraits appear at 1:2 aspect ratio: if your portrait is not so sized, it will be stretched to fit, to varying effects. I recommend cropping or "letterboxing" to preserve the aspect ratio for portraits that start off a different size.
Maximum recommended resolution is 302x604 pixels.
Pick a unique filename, and put the portrait in your /portraits folder
Post a link to the file in your server forum (and/or your forum sig) for others to download.
Please avoid NSFW-type images (ALFA is ostensibly a PG-13 type environment, not sure if we have active kidlet members presently, but we have had them in the past and likely will again). Also avoid ridiculousness: anime pictures, animal/monster pictures/other sillyness.
I will aim to update the official portrait pack periodically, but I will not add questionable images to the offical pack.
Just download the portraits, put them in the portraits folder and youre ready to go.
For your own portrait, do the same, then ingame input the file name on the portrait thingy in the KEMO description.
(will add the others as they show up, when theres a few will add a single link for a pack containing all of them)
PS: Will post on the other server forums so that it is global.
PS2: Imagewalker is a great program for viewing and saving .tga images. http://www.imagewalker.com/

Can't we get all the portraits up via html and linked to our in-game characters via the web like KEMO intended?
It's so much easier to have a webpage you can pull up with the pictures (esp for the less than tech savvy.) Haven has a web page that hosts men, women, and reserved for custom pics. And there are thousands of formatted pictures on their pages now; mainly safe for work.
Then you just type in the name of the hosted image and it appears instantly.

+1
That would be ideal.

Depends where. You could argue fair use on somewhat shaky ground for US law. But, really, it's rife everywhere in non-commercial stuff. Other communities certainly use way more copyrighted material than we do.
People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.

Someone would need to make this.

There is a lot of good pictures to work with esp in the rarer races and MOST of them are FR pictures from books, comics, or novels.

(are the other two links)
This is the least offensive example of how it works still NSFW in like three pics. You just need a file name from one of these and it automatically shows up on the server.
Arr Leif!
"What do you mean i'm overcompensating?"
"Me, Yuan-ti blooded? Nom nom nom..never!"

Guys in my sound legal opinion, you need not worry until you get a complaint letter. Which you won't, so stop worrying - alfa is not collectible. Also if the webpage is hosted abroad....hmmm who's law applies?
On bad governance: "I intend to bring democracy to this nation, and if anybody stands in my way I will crush him and his family."
You're All a Bunch of Damn Hippies
If you ask a US lawyer, he'd say theirs, no matter where its hosted. Great example of late being some of the sites dedicated to linking streaming sports that have been closed down by US authorities despite a) being hosted overseas and b) being declared by a judge to be legal in the country it was hosted in.
