Game of thrones

Post by Regas »

Not sure how many folks have seen this yet but wow ... Anyone else completely hooked on this series? I started watching it with pretty low expectations and I'm pleasantly surprised. I only hope it doesn't get cancelled like every other good show lately.

Oh, it's out, is it? Give it three years and it might, maybe, possibly get aired in New Zealand...

just watched episode 9 today... all I can say is Oh.My.God.

It's a fantastic series with a great cast... also, the actor of Jon Snow went to my sixth form collage (Worcester Sixth form :D)

p.s. It's already signed to do at least one more series (it got signed after episode 2 I believe)

I have been hooked since I saw the first trailer for it.

Actually Mrs_dergon saw it and said "Honey! I think there's a show you're gonna watch!"

SO far so awesome.

As I understand it, the show is getting solid rating and is meant to run in parallel with the books with each season being 1 book of the 5-book series.

Enjoying every minute! :)

It's following the book series very, very well. I enjoy the show thoroughly.

You do know that New Zealand isn't in America, right?

I'm in France and follow it at day+1 thanks to the guys at sidereel.com

Awesome show indeed.

I hadn't read the book before and bought them after airing episode 2.
I'm currently reading "A Clash Of Kings" and it's a wonderful book series.

As someone whose nick is the name of a spaceship in a George R.R. Martin novel all I can say is, "Why did he start writing Men-in-Tights books?". Got through about three of the Game of Thrones books and wanted to kill myself. :wall:

Oh yeah, and I'm sure I saw Sean Bean in a promotional picture. Worrying.

I am very happy to say I love this show. Got a lot of friends into it as well who do not play or possibly even know what D&D is. The show is really exceptional with its character development, scenery, and plot.

And as Cloud points out the eye candy is a major plus.

I say everyone should at least try the first episode. I am pretty sure after that you will be hooked.

*grumbles* Poor Sean Bean..
Spoiler:
at least he made it 9 full episodes instead of 1 hour into a movie. He must be getting REALLLY good at acting out deaths. Also very grumpy. Lawful Good always gets done up the butt in this. Very frustrating.Image
