Brother Alousis in Beregost says he is giving you coin for the service you provide, but no coin (nor xp) is given.

The 'curb' objects in Beregost aren't part of the walkmesh thus characters wade through them rather than on them. A good number of the other objects in the area are either too high or too low relative to the hieght of the 'curb' objects.

Once again spawn-mobbed by four Goblins when entering Sharp Teeth via Gullykin. Also, they reported as Goblings but were as big as men and looked far more like Half Orcs - not sure what was going on there.

Two of us got XP at the moment of service, but no monetary reward afterwards.Mick wrote:Brother Alousis in Beregost says he is giving you coin for the service you provide, but no coin (nor xp) is given.

I was goiung for the rabbit quest in the sewers.... not really sure waht it was all about, but.
It makes me crash, not the quest itself perhaps, but down in the sewers, I can barely login and see the sewers again before my computer dies flat. very wierd.
I logged in three times, so far I think and have only gotten a few meters. (and yes right now I'm trying to reach the door)
I would think that since I crash almost instantly down there, something must be wrong, but I am unsure just what to point my finger at... my comp ins't the most stable one, but this is just extremely unlikey it's fault.

The sewers have been around for a long time and are used rather regularly... I've not heard of any problems with them. Might be something is up with your nwn2 install as I don't think they're very graphically demanding.
As far as the Beregost rat quest: I'm aware. Unfortunately it seems like some really oddball script issue. I can't puzzle it out.

People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.

The quest "finishes" in the PC's journal when the deed is done. Perhaps that stops the NPC from coming back on it?paazin wrote:As far as the Beregost rat quest: I'm aware. Unfortunately it seems like some really oddball script issue. I can't puzzle it out.

(If it's any help, I and one other finished the beregost barn quest yesterday and it worked just fine for us.)
There is something that does not work however, the large bunny quest as previously mentioned, might've been bamboozled by my frequent crashing last night, (crashing doesn't seem to happen anymore, very odd)

On the other hand, I did the wine fetching quest in the cellar of the blushing mermaid.
the script removes the wine from me, and the key, but the quest is never finished. (actually it looks like it was never given in the first place). So i get no money or xp for it at all.

Addendum: they ignore all other members of the party, even PCs.hollyfant wrote:It's probably not BG-specific, but when a PC goes down and the attacking monsters just stand there, they just stand there. Even when a summoned creature is still attacking them.
- The randomly spawning arms Merchant sells all sorts of wonderful arrows, and some great bows. All sorts of bolts, and great crossbows. All sorts of bullets... and no slings.
Not even a regular one. - The Lathander Man at Arms is called Lathander Men at Arms.

- The Mermaid's rats aren't spawning, and Bork doesn't accept the task as done (or even as taken in the first place): he keeps on handing out keys...
- The Chocolate Pod and the Jar of Leeches have charges, but no explanation what those charges do.

now as for more complex questions - one of the traveling merchants was selling winter boots. in description it said: "allows to move in snow with normal speed (is that even relevant?) and offers continuos protection as endure elements"
does the second part means boots have 10/ resistance to all elemental damage? can cast unlimited spell? merchant tried to dupe me out of 2500 coins with some furry slippers?
fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity
Re: BG Bug Thread: 09/23/09
It seems more likely that the endure elements being referenced is the pen-and-paper version, which does not stop any damage; it merely protects a person from the rigors of normal weather (that is, not a big deal to be a shirtless Conan ripoff in the snow, or to wear a fur cloak in Chult, when protected by PnP endure elements-- but fireballs still hurt like a motherfscker).
It would be news to me if we had implemented movement speeds relative to terrain, to which winter boots could respond, though. I suspect that you're supposed to RP that.

Re: BG Bug Thread: 09/23/09
Again not BG specific (but we don't have a Tech bug thread that I'm aware of): Spirit Shamans have access to a feat "Inscribe Rune (Spirit Shaman)", with the description "You can cast any divine spell you have prepared as a rune."
But Spirit Shamans don't prepare any spells, they're spontaneous casters...
And: "Extend Spell"-metamagic doesn't work on the "Creeping Cold" spell, even though it's not instantaneous or permanent.

Re: BG Bug Thread: 09/23/09
I think we decided to allow Spirit Shamans and Favored Souls, as those two classes were added after Inscribe Rune was printed.
