I am returning myself... been in hiatus for a while... played Hadrian Dragonsbane for what seemed like Eons if anyone remembers me.. I played on NWN 2 Silver Marches for a bit before life took over again.. now every time I try to log on I get booted.. have the password and all.. just after I select the PC.. get the boot? Any help??

I know I had one that had died on the Silver Marches.. and just recently when I logged on again there wasn't a char there.. now the old ones are there again? So it is acting odd for me.. lol

Try rolling up a new test PC. Just make sure it has a name that makes it clear it's a test PC. And preferably grab a DM to oversee matters. It could just be your character .BIC has been corrupted.

I think I did end up getting a different copy of NWN 2 when I had a computer crash and reinstalled with a new disk... if that would change the CD key? Is there a way to get the vault completely wiped for me so I can start from scratch and see if it is a corrupted installation??

Easiest fix if you'll be making a new PC anyway, is to make a new Gamespy ID to use from now on; just make a variant of your former one so you're easily recognisable.

On first login, it will tie the new GSID to the new CDkey, and give you a nice clean vault folder to use for your new PC.

If you intend to pick back up with playing a prior PC rolled under the old CDKey, that's a bit tougher- I can do some manual DB editing to make it work if you get me on chat.
