Question about drow lore - inheriting sins?
Re: Question about drow lore - inheriting sins?
I wonder how with how much tenacity they would wish such a person dead. Would it be simply convenient, or is it a matter of tainted drow blood that should spill on the ground?

If the one thats somehow survived was the one that insulted lolth in the first place, it's entirely likely she'd demand the city to find and kill the one surviving male.
Worth noting, if the male that survived was also a noble, and the house wasn't disgraced, just got beaten, the males life wouldn't be forfeit, he'd simply be given to another house.
<edit>
changed 'beated' to 'beaten'.... beated.... what was I thinking?!

Hint: read the books if you're really that interested in such details.
You'll (hopefully) gain better first hand understanding/feel of what these guys are talking about than simply asking a few questions on the forums.
Besides, it's fundamental. Garnering information via the internet will make significant parts of your brain rot and atrophy.

Of course the above is only contingently true if the Drow happens to reside in Menzoberranzan, the most publicized Drow City by far, but by far not the only one.

R.A.Salvatores Drizzt Series, especially the early ones, no matter what anyone says, he essentially created the Drow Society that we all know, regardless of peoples distaste for Drizzt.
The War of the Spider Queen Series (again Salvatore has a hand in them, but they're awesome for giving detail on drow)
The 3.5 Underdark Book.
I agree with what you say here, though I read the Drizzt books 20 years ago.
I have to ask though... Why do you seem apologetic about complimenting R.A. Salvatore? Am I missing something of the coulture here?
I doubt, therefore; I might be

heh, well this thread takes me back!
there is a general dislike of salvatore by many, not a few of which are actually members of this community heh. I enjoyed the drizzt novels, i also enjoyed (probably more) the war of the spider queen series, though i only like the end of the lady penitent series.
