Rejected

Post by Linky »

My app was rejected without any reason or feedback given, just an automated email. I read the application guide carefully and did my best to follow it so I do not see why it would be rejected, especially without any feedback at all. At this point I'm not sure if it is best to make a new application or what, seeing as I don't know what what was wrong with it or if the automated email was a friendly "we dont want u".

My friend as well submitted at the same time I did. He was rejected with an automated email and no reason given too. We really liked the looks of the server and looked forward to playing.

It would be good to get a straight answer as to the reasons we were rejected and if we should bother re-apping.

We were on the IRC server asking questions about the permadeath and cvc and received some hostile responses, which may be the reason for the rejection, or at least the only thing that comes to mind.

I believe you PMed our Player Admin not long ago. You should be getting a reply from him shortly. He's definitely the person to ask, as I'd say 99% of people who read this forum can't see your application and have no idea of the reasons.

More often than not the reason for rejecting an application is that we feel ALFA might not be quite the server the person applying is looking for, and that we feel that they might have more fun on another server. However, I'm sure when you get a reply to your PM there will be a bit more specifics in it than my generalizations, as I haven't read the application.

Of course, we all do make mistakes. There is never any harm in re-applying. If you do, I would suggest just PMing your application to OldGreyRogue (the Player Administrator), as for some reason the application system won't let you apply twice with the same username.
