Re: Bugs: March 7 --
Yes, I figured it was something similar. I've got an nvidia 9600 GT card and it says I've got the most current drivers. Any suggestions on how to fix that, or is there another thread somewehere that's already delt with this?

I've talked to others and they don't have this issue, at least in SM south, but I can't see buildings, roads, or anything. I've a screenshot, but I don't know how to add it here.

PS: Add High HOld to that list as well.
Roll back your drivers to the last version. Something about the newest Nivida driver is incompatible with NWN2.

Bug: Players hitting encounters between HH and Moonwood/Queavar destinations are getting ported to the Highway Area between High Hold and Silverymoon instead.

Extremely minor bug: the brush below the tree inside the Golden Oak hovers off the ground, and consequently looks really bad when standing / sitting near the tree.

first quest from the Sage hall to get books from the Lady's Library, went to all the cabinets that were unlocked that I could find, no books to take back to the Sages spawned.
not sure if this one is already posted, didn't see it, but mighthave missed it.

After talking to a few people I am still missing my barbarian speed movement. Strangely enough a player I am usually with now HAS barbarian speed and passes me
Any ideas on a fix for this or should I start looking for a remake?

AL inquired about this to me since I do have the same...
I've not experienced a loss of my own speed, so I would say that it is a 1 pc related issue at the moment.

Re: Bugs: March 7 --
oddly enough I've found lately that everyone overtakes me. Even non rangers/barbarians seem to move quicker.
So it may be that some issues have had the speed reduction from the worldmap somehow become perminant. This might explain why your barbarian friend is quicker than you despite being the same class Mr D

Re: Bugs: March 7 --
Re: speeds, it's a complete "grasp at a straw" here, but in NWN1 we found sometimes that certain kinds of script-imposed shape changes affected speed, PERMANENTLY (not necessarily the polymorph spell, but homegrown change-of-appearance things like disguise self, alter self, certain scripted traps or DMs "imposing" a shape change via wand for a plot). The reason was that all these changes imposed "Normal" speed on targets.
Categories like "Normal", "Fast", "Slow" etc. were all available from dropdown menus, meant to apply to NPC critters only. PCs had a special unlisted category which was just a tiny bit faster than "Normal." However, there was no way to re-impose that speed on them via script or anything, once they had been turned "Normal" (by being shapechanged to say, an Orc appearance briefly), they were screwed from then on out. I assume the same thing could happen with Barbarians or Monks, as their speed is a multiplier of the unlisted, "something just more than Normal" speed.
Like I said, it's a complete grasp at a straw, but if your PC has ever experienced like, a weird shapechange, either by spell or especially by script (trap, widget?) or DM intervention, it's a possible root cause for speed issues.

Re: Bugs: March 7 --
Your PC does normally move slower if using WASD compared to mouse click pathing. Not sure why. Seems to use MOVEMENT_SPEED_DEFAULT with WASD and MOVEMENT_SPEED_PC (which is 10% faster than Default) when pathing.
And as BB says, using a (non-polymorph spell) shape change changes the characters appearance type, and movement rate data is defaulted here along with size category. You might also find if your medium sized PC has ever been changed into a small size appearance, they can not equip medium weapons any mroe and get their AC bonus for size modifier.
This CAN be fixed by a dm using the modify local variables tool on the PC, set the Local int DMFI_appearance_default (iirc) to the correct appearance type line from appearance.2da for the PC, then use the omega wand to re-set default appearance on the PC. Log out, log in and the data on the PC should be reset to the PC appearance type defaults again.
I have had to do this twice on PCs now who have been appearance changed by a DM using the omega wand or DMFI tools, and both times it has worked.
-Mr D, if this continues to be a problem for you and a TSM DM cant fix it I can do so in BG's Q.

Re: Bugs: March 7 --
These symptoms tend to indicate a PC name conflict. Are these PCs using an entirely new name to roll up, or are they trying to recycle "lost" names from the vault issues?Cloud_Dancing wrote:I am still getting starting level 1 PCs with no starting gold, healers kit, or Holy thingyies.
Never try to re-use a PC name, even if you've had the old bics removed from your Vault folder - the names persist in the Logs, and will cause problems.
ooh that is probably it. They were remakes and only jmecha used a different name on that principle.
