Rathalan Whitsword has been asking friends and acquaintances to direct him toward people familiar with the Fochlucan, singing, and particularly the magical songs spoken of in bardic magic.

Rumors spread like wildfire. It is said that Alyra Ashedown, the topic of heated debate in High Hold, held a public forum a few evenings passed to address some of the rumors of her "fiend blood" and "witch practicing".

After a lengthy discussion lasting most of the night, a few things were indeed cemented into the minds of the people of High Hold: Alyra was angel-blooded. She did in fact bleed, as well would certainly drown (proving her thus not to be a witch). At the end of the discussion, it is said she pledged her blade to High Hold to defend its people.

While some of the crowd still held disbelief, most seemed swayed by her words. Be any of it true, however, is still determined by each ear that hears it.

It has been noticed at High Hold of late that two Rangers, A human female and elven male, have been keeping a close watch upon a certain area across the Rauvin River, sometimes even venturing together along with a wolf to within bowshot of "the hole". It is said they work in shifts to observe the place day and night. They have even gone so far as to set a station on the direct opposite shore to observe with relative safety at night.

Rumours circulate around Silverymoon about desert dragons, assassins, or slavers waylaying folk on the western road...depending on who one listens to. There is also much discussion about the supposed shortcomings of gypsies.

There seems there is little dispute that the KiS mounted an extensive search of the woodland and farm steads just west of the Moorgate.

With a haphazard camp as focal point, a volunteer force is slowly starting to take shape near High Hold. Preparations for the coming assault are frequently interrupted by false alarms, in-fights and problems with basic amenities, but some progress is being made.

It seems that the two Rangers manning the watch station near High Hold are missing these last days. It was said that they went to fetch the female new armor...but they have not returned.

The last night was peppered by gossip of a female Ranger coming in to Rauvinwatch like a bat out of hell, studded with poisoned arrows, and claiming to being chased by assassins who were after the Lady Alyra's location. Signs of their prescence was determined by the guard patrol and friends.

She also reported to the guard that the assassins implied they had also tortured and killed the Elven Scout Aniall, when previously that day his body had be recovered by the Lady Alyra from a well-know area of Orc activity near the Meteor Lake. It is now known he may have died in service to her safety.

The body has been laid to rest in Everdusk hall for all well-wishers.

It is said Seargent Berendil of the Legion recently captured two Bedouins believed to be assassins somewhere around the region of High Hold. It is even thought that one of the prisoners is versed in arcanities.

In a seperate note, it is said the beautiful face of Katriana is missing from the Tinkers stop outside of the city. Rumor has it she is sick, and somewhere in the city being treated.

Guards at the various entry gates to Silverymoon have been seen stopping male half-orcs for questioning before admittance to the city. It is rumoured that the well known half-orc warrior known as Grull of Yellowtooth is being barred entry to the city.

Written notices have been nailed to trees on all approaches to Silverymoon and passed out to all gate sergeants:

BE IT KNOWN THAT THE NOTORIOUS DISTURBER-OF-THE-CIVIC-PEACE, THE HALF-ORC KNOWN AS GRULL OF YELLOWTOOTH, SHALL BE HENCEFORTH DISALLOWED ENTRY INTO THE PROTECTED AND PEACEFUL INTERIOR QUARTERS OF SILVERYMOON. ANY ATTEMPT BY SAID YELLOWTOOTH TO ENTER THE GATES OF SILVERYMOON WILL RESULT IN THE SUBDUING AND EJECTION OF THE HALF-ORC, WHO HAS THREATENED DEATH TO LAWFUL GUESTS OF THE CITY.

SPELLS TO RENDER HELPLESS WITHOUT DIRECT DAMAGE AND THE FLATS OF BLADES SHOULD BE USED, BUT SHOULD A SPELLGUARD, A KNIGHT IN SILVER OR ONE OF THOSE UNDER THREAT OF ASSAULT BY THE HALF-ORC YELLOWTOOTH BE ASSAULTED BY YELLOWTOOTH, PENALTY SHALL BE PURSUED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, EVEN UNTO DEATH BY HANGING SHOULD THE CASE DEMAND IT.

LET IT BE FURTHER KNOWN THAT ANY PRIVATE CITIZEN TAKING THE LAW INTO HIS OWN HANDS AND ATTACKING THE HALF-ORC WITHOUT PROVOCATION GREATER THAN INSULT AND WORDS SHALL ALSO BE PENALIZED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.

Chests of gold and magical elixers have arrived in High Hold from Silverymoon, meant to pay salaries to recruits for the expected assault across the River.

Fishermen have been offerred more than fair value for lease of their vessels. Most have taken up the offer, since fear of undead attack while on the river has kept many from earning coin at their chosen profession.

Word has gone forth to seek magical parchments and elixers that can help to shield the mind from sorcery. Any bringing them to the High Hold will be bargained with quite fairly.

A corpse was found by a half orc , deep into the Rivermoot hills. The half orc delivered the corpse to the soldiers at the gates and headed away without saying much. Few people were heard questioning if the half orc himself is not the killer, but no action was taken against him, yet...

The Scholar Rhothomir was seen arriving at High Hold panting, he was overheard telling the Militia to be wary as a Troll had attacked him on the roads near High Hold From Silverymoon. He was then seen making his way into the Hold-Proper carrying a bundle of scrolls for the second time recently.

There has been a reported case of "Mass amnesia" at High Hold Recently..no one can remember who reported it.

Strange councils within the caravan camp

Outside the gem several passerby's did take notice of the well known mage Rhothimir, the slight Xalanthe, the androgenous Trapper and the priest Daertho in conversation with Sion. A look of shock passed over some of those passerby's as many of these openly professed friendship with the High Priest Banite who hails out of the south. Rumours of a dark knight passing through Rivermoot in search of Matthias, a man who was killed and hung for criminal acts, has reached Silverymoon and has many within the march on edge. Rumour has it that if the dark knight is not satisfied with the treatment of his man Matthias that he will seek an eye for an eye in this matter. Afterword, Sion was seen to have taken extended council with Alyra. Whispers in the street talk of a nest of Banites in the march who are being blamed for everything from the curdling of milk, to the current unrest of undead threatening the hold.
