The Legion COmmand in High Hold advise against travelling to the the far side of the river.
Funerary pyres were also burning outside the hold for men killed on the far side. Some say that the soldiers had to stoke the flames a number of times because the bodies were frozen solid.

Re: Tavern Knowledge (II) - post your rumours and gossip here
The battle on the South bank of the Rauvin raged throughout the night. Some of the Legion soldiers, safe in their postings near the walls of High Hold, gave quiet prayers of thanks that they were not commanded to cross the river, while refugees huddled near the hold close to small fires, trying to distract their young children from the disturbing sounds emanating from the field.
Flashes of magical fire, shouts of harried fighting and men taking wounds, and the unearthly moaning of the restless dead continued on and on throughout the night. From dusk until dawn did a sundry group of warriors keep the onslaught of the forces of the undead at bay. Each man and woman fought valliantly, side by side and back to back against wave upon wave of the horde.
Rathalan Whitsword was said to have written a letter to High Marshall Methrammar Aerasume himself, asking that each member of the group he named "The Valiant Twelve" be recognized as heroes of the Marches and be given formal commendation with the Silvered Clovis.
((the Silvered Clovis is an honorary medal in the form of a tri-leafed flower that is given to any citizen of the realms when exhibiting bravery or performing great feats of heroism in aid to the Silver Marches))

Long after the sun came up upon High Hold, a dwarf in heavy armour could be seen across the river dragging the bodies of the dead to a huge pyre, or obliterating the skulls of those that had no tissue left. The smoke ran thick in the air, as did the stench of burning and dead flesh.

Re: Tavern Knowledge (II) - post your rumours and gossip here
Earlier today a flash blizzard roared through the northern passes near Felbarr, demonstrating the full fury of Auril's wrath. Fist sized hail, sheets of snow and ice, rare winter lightning, and hurricane winds pummeled the mountains from the east. Though severe weather is largely predictable in the long experience of the dwarves in the area, this particular blizzard and its catastrophic results caught everyone by surprise.
The fury of the storm caused a tremendous avalanche, with tons of snow and ice and rocks crashing down over the pass to Felbarr. In addition to covering the northern trail to Felbarr, a canyon just west of the trail was completely filled with ice and rubble from the slide.
Miraculously, no friendly casualties were reported, but a few of the King Warcrowns soldiers were nearly entombed, only saved by the actions of a few adventurers, coincidentally nearby during the event.
Later that day, a wizard in green, known to some of the local dwarves as 'that scarecrow Wands', appeared to offer his services in digging out the passes. After speaking to a few of the local authority figures, the wizard disappeared, though verified sightings of Umberhulks persisted throughout the day, strangely cooperative and helpful, digging out the passes in new tracks and tunnels, and throwing up great gouts of snow and ice and rockdust in their wake. A short time later, local dwarves bearing stout timbers were able to support the new tunnels, and trade caravans soon began to make their way yet again through the northern pass.
As the beer and bread began to arrive, the caravan masters were met with the cheers of dozens of dwarves.

A Tribe of Orc were nerely cut in twain by the efforts of Talhund Garlus of Clan Ironbeard in the defense of the human occupied Hawk's Nest an evening after the avalanche at Felbarr occured. It is said the dwarf himself fell in battle, but one of the Knights quickly finished off the last of the orc threat and revived him inside the palisade itself.

Silverymoon is abuzz with chatter about the goings on in Rhysters Matins. The rumours vary wildly, depending on whom is repeating them, but the gist is that the bloody body of a female in dark armour was carried in and laid at Sir Cayne's feet by a male in black leathers. After the male left, Sir Cayne convene a cadre of Dawnbringers and cast extensive powerful magics on the corpse before burning it with extreme diligence into ashes. It is generally agreed that nothing eventually remained of the corpse, armour, or belongings but fine bleached ash when the Lathanderites finished many hours later.

It was seen that the Dwarven Garlus of Clan Ironbeard visited Mattins hours after a man in leathers had taken the much discussed body into the Temple. He was seen to spend many hours beside the body while Cayn convened with his Dawnbringers about the disposition of the body. Upon Cayns return, Garlus was seen to leave with a claimed stone from the body, said to be given to the woman previously by the dwarf, as well as a lock of golden hair.

Most of High Hold's outer-guards, a roughly dressed woods-woman, a massive half-orc, a scruffy young man, and a well-armored Dwarf, and others watched as a messenger loudly brought the news of some horrible murders and their resolution from Silverymoon not soon after Veneril, rumored to be some sort of mage, had been released from his jail by Severan, had just passed down the same road toward Silverymoon. Very very soon after his passing, a tall, scarred man in black, coated in dried blood, with a large sword, passed by the gates causing some to fear for their very lives.

Re: Tavern Knowledge (II) - post your rumours and gossip here
Infamous half orc around the marches area was seen spending the last few days passing from tavern to tavern around Silverymoon and sharing tales of his latest erotic adventures and conquers. The half orc specially lingered on one story in which a woman named Trapper Wing seduced him to her bed and that for the first time in his life he did not have to pay 'that' kind of service. The half orc extensively talked about her wild skills in the bed room and how loudly and demanding she is. The half orc also invited all doubters to confirm his story and ask Benlan Firstblade for themselves about the moaning that kept coming out of their tavern door until late night.

Re: Tavern Knowledge (II) - post your rumours and gossip here
The gossip around High Hold is that the Fen across the river has gone uncannily quiet of late, although the High Hold legionnaires continue watch it from the Hold ramparts vigilantly and the Angler Inn remains closed. When not gossiping with varying degrees of disdain about the rumoured willing liaison between a well known half-orc and a human maiden (which seems quite the hot topic), some might be heard to speak of a group of commoners who defied the evacuation order, commandeered a boat, and rowed across to the Fen side of the river to go boar hunting...it seems they never returned.
Strange and confused rumours circulate about Silverymoon of a strange incident rumoured to have occured in the Lady's College library...commoners one might suspect to have enjoyed little in the way of scholarly enterprise might be heard to speak of the return of Dawn Shiningeye by the hand of a necromancer and ferocious battle involving dragons and adventurers.
Any who make effort to secure their rumours from a student of the Lady's College, however, might hear something more along the lines of:
"It was a phylactory of a sort. Mistress Ostelle warned them of trifling with such things, but Corio and the Scout Sergeant insisted...when she broke the containment a great cloud of mist erupted from within and coalesced into a Dawnbringer...yes...alive and quite handsome...but very confused. I think he had been trapped...and it was not but moments before he began to age as if each moment were a year...he dissolved to dust before their eyes..."

Back in the village of Rivermoot, Rathalan Whitsword has been seen in regular pleasant conversation with the new local Legion Commander, Sergeant WIlson. The pair have even dined together on occasion. Many in the village note this as a remarkable development, given the open hostility that had been evident between the previous village leader, Sergent Praetor Baron.
When asked his opinions on this change in personnel, the Helmite priest would only say "I wish Sergeant Baron success in his new remote assignment." The genuine smile that crossed Alert Whitsword's face when speaking this statement showed his happiness with the development.

Re: Tavern Knowledge (II) - post your rumours and gossip here
A small Gnome and her faithful canine companion were heard around Rivermoot Village recounting the extreme heroics of a small band of helpful adventurers consisting of Dwarves, humans, and some sort of Druid, who both freed her from the grasp of a slimy Troll but also the cave of Goblins it was contained in.
Rumors fly; an alliance between Trolls and Goblin kind?
Nevertheless the band returned with the greatful Gnome in tow and said doggie trailing behind. The group was then seen piling bags outside the hold and exchanging sacks betwixt the lot of them, which followed by a drunken bender at the local Tavern for some. The result, Rivermoot rejoices with a sudden influx of gold and trade items, the common folk get to rest easy, and the village is saved yet again from certain destruction.

Rivermoot tavern brawl
Rumor has it that violent brawl erupted between a known half orc and another notorious woman he claimed to recognize as Vinia. Amazingly , the half orc drew his sword in the middle of the tavern and attacked the woman.
It would seem that exactly when the half orc had the upper hand and victory seemed close , he suddenly froze in his place when Vinia and another woman Trapper were cutting him up with their swords and daggers until he fall down bleeding from dozens of wounds.
When the half orc collapsed, Vinia left the tavern inviting Trapper to follow her to Silverymoon.

Re: Tavern Knowledge (II) - post your rumours and gossip here
The continuing trouble with the undead in the Fen across from High Hold has begun to fray nerves among commoners and soldiery alike. It is not uncommon to hear folk grumbling:
"I say we give her over to 'em!...she's nay one of us anyways..."
"She's too comely to be human...it's foul magic, I say..."
"She's an abomination herself!...That's why they want her!"
"Ye've seen her eyes...and she mad!...I heard she spakes to herself...and answers back!"
Many witnessed a legion Sergeant flog a soldier for insubordination after a recent attack. It is said it had to do with cowardice, but many say the soldier loudly insisted Alyra should be given over to the undead.
