I think it's a hotfix repairing some errors they made with 1.23.

In the short term, we're working on the 1.23 hotfix that should address some of the issues that arose with that patch. We'll hopefully have that out to you guys sometime next week.

Go ahead and patch - both servers are now on the hotfix.
Changes in the hotfix are mostly fixes for folks running older AMD CPU-based systems, and a couple of Toolset fixes that most players will never notice. The biggest change for most folks is a SecureRom patch that means you no longer need to have the game disc in your machine to play.
Make sure your Override folder is empty before patching.
There is a new alfa_tiles.hak that will need downloading - just under 80 MB.
