File extension .D

Post by johnlewismcleod »

I've got the Gnomish Log rotator up and rotating, but the file extension baffles my software. The files appear to be XYZ.D, does anyone know what I need to do to open these files?

They're plain text files afaik - Notepad should open them. Is it possible you put something into the Log Naming Convention window to change them from their default *.txt format?

Yes...that was it exactly, Curm. I inexplicably chose to use "DM logs" as a naming convention (thinking I was being clever, no doubt  ), and instead of tagging my logs as DM logs, it was rendering them into an extesion D format (whatever that is  ). Anyway...as soon as I cleared off the Log Naming Convention field it was sorted out.

Thanks :D
