Why did you choose that tag?
Hi All,
Why do you have the tag you do?
Mine is ElCadaver because a long time ago I was playing an online first person shooter, and during that game one guy came to be my nemesis.... he was a spanish player, and he killed my so many times my corpse was littered all over the playing field. He started taunting my by calling me 'ElCadaver' (spanish for 'the corpse'). I kinda thought that was funny so I took it on.. And me being a medical person I liked the irony in that one day, all our tags will be ElCadaver....

My brother and I came up with our nicks about seven years ago from a PS strategy game that allowed an unusual length in character names - something like 12-16 letters max, we went crazy coming up with different names for each guy.
So Kest and Kal are nicknames of the nicknames.

I think i was using the nwn1 auto-namer and something came up i liked. Then i played with it, changed it, realised i'd be in a PW and that people would prefer something short to type and I wanted something simple that matched the barbarian i was playing.
Never really palyed online (let alone RP) with anything before alfa so everything kinda went from there. Nothing so exciting.
Later found out it was the name of a canon dwarf.

Mine is Mikayla, and I chose Mikayla because .. its my name.
When I first signed up for ALFA I put the name I wanted for my forum-name in the slot for my real name, and my real name I wanted in the slot for my forum name. By the time I got Albereth to answer my PMs about it, people already knew me by Mikayla, so, I just stuck with it. So .. my handle, "Mikayla", is just my name. Not very creative I know. C'est la vie.
Oh, and my would-be forum name was "Chalithra." Its a drow name straight out of the drow book. I had used it for an NPC in our pen-n-paper game, and my players gave the NPC the nickname "Chilli". I mentioned that to my girlfriend at the time, and she started calling me "Chilli" and "Chilli-girl", and to this day, "Chilli-girl" and "Chilli" are my nicknames (and the names I use when I am out at a club and don't want to give a guy my real name). Weird eh? Such is the way of nick-names. As for "Chalithra", it never ended up getting used as a forum name. It just lives on in my real-world nick-name.

There, just getting that inevitable joke out the way
Got it from back in my Tribes days, i always played the light armor class and used to get some pretty stupid speed from skiing hills and then launching into bases. Was crazy fun.

Always playing a custom objective StarCraft map's Surveillance team, and I also liked Valen.

The power of concealment lies in revelation.

Daniel cause thats my name.
m - cause my middle name is Max, after my grandfather.
n - Noah, my last name.
I guess I used my name cause, that's just my nature. I prefer very few walls in my life, so it works.

Re: Why did you choose that tag?
Mine is from an act of retaliatory name-calling when I was like 9 or so. My given first name is Jeff...go to jeffy...morphs into fluffy...marry to my parents having a drunken meal at a chinese restauraunt, smashing fortune cookies and feeding them to the vacuum cleaner at closing time, feeding the Dragon Monstah...it all comes together as fluffmonster somehow. Thus, I've been fluff for more than 3 decades.

Mine is from Lord of the Rings.
If you know your Tolkien lore, you know the more common name of this person.

Re: Why did you choose that tag?
A mix of my name and my lowbrow sense of humor

"We had gone in search of the American dream. It had been a lame f*ckaround. A waste of time. There was no point in looking back. F*ck no, not today thank you kindly. My heart was filled with joy. I felt like a monster reincarnation of Horatio Alger. A man on the move... and just sick enough to be totally confident." -- Raoul Duke.
Re: Why did you choose that tag?
I was writing a book with a celtic character named Rowena in it, with whom I rather identified. She was from a sea-faring race so I changed ROwena to MERwynna for my first foray into this strange place called online ALFA, back when ALFA was a chatroom and the game -- NWN1 -- was a gleam in the developer's eye. Then I grew to hate the Mer, so I moved it to a surname, and my first written ALFA character was a Ranger gal called Wynna Meredith. Anybody remember the first play by post, back about 8 years ago? Burt was in it, and Pel, and Liam, I think. {As an aside, I remember longing to be part of the cool kid club of good guys back then, two of whom were Pel and Liam, who were called the Lions or Knights of something or other. Memory fails.} Anyhow, after the Bargewright Inn got burned down in a written plot that turned into farce and I got ridiculed for having talking orcs after agreeing to DM the play-by-post, I dropped the Meredith as a sort of witness protection plan. I've been on the run ever since as just plain Wynna.
Enjoy the game
