Connected! need help with first steps!

Finally everything arrived and i was able to connect to the game.

I created my first(as advised throw away character) to test things and learn the basics.

I joined the Silver Marches, created a dwarf and entered the game.


What now?

A bit of unsolicited advise?:

Don't call any PC a "throw-away" character.

Why:

1) DM's don't like it and it's never a good idea to irritate a DM.

2) They tend to last forever once disignated thus.

Ah it's a term i picked in the forums here , people advised to not make my "dream" character first because first time characters tend to die and then the idea is lost.

I did not play NWN2 much before , i actually bought it to play here mostly, so i need a learning curve, technically as well.

Ah it's a term i picked in the forums here , people advised to not make my "dream" character first because first time characters tend to die and then the idea is lost.

I see what people meant, my first character died on his first attempt to complete a quest.

I did manage to learn few things though.

1. I've learned basic communication options and emotes.
2. Finding game fraction and join it is essential
3. Not to do fightings alone and stick into public places.

Now, i have decided i want to try a submit a serious character. I wish to play half orc that would be in the cult of Auril.

Anyone has good background ideas for such character?

The server actually crashed. When it's coming back up it will have a different password so people can't log in until its finished loading. Should work just fine now.

Sould be an easy fit for coming from one of the Spine of the World tribes.

Anything but the "orphaned and raised by...." history, please.

How 'bout an Aurilite priestess completed subdued and took control of the orc tribe and forced them into fanatical worship. (( I like fundamentalists))

My throw-away PC is now on year number two....

I once made a throw away PC for NWN1 to go test something out. Turned out to be the only PC (out of hundreds) to ever make it past level 2...

We have a few aurilites on server already...I would suggest getting with one of them and seeing what sort of PC would best flush out the aurilite faction if you've not already done so. If you need help and I am In Game, don't hesitate to pm me...we can go over a few things no problem.
