More BSG!

Post by Grand Fromage »

SCI FI Channel has increased its episode order for the fourth season of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA to 22 from the original 13, including a special two-hour extended episode that will air during the fourth quarter of this year and be released on DVD by Universal Studios Home Entertainment thereafter.
Still, after Sunday, ten frakking months.

Me and my family have only recently started watching it, still have all of season 2 and 3 to watch. So far it has been frakking awesome I can't believe I waited this long to get hooked. Main reason really is that on australian TV it started in primetime, stayed there for a few weeks then started getting aired later and later at night and I was always busy those nights

Oh well, better late then never!

The first season is by far the best and if you ever get a chance to see the full pilot for the show, you won't be disappointed. Season 3 dragged on for me with too much focus on religion but there were enough good episodes to keep me watching and hoping for more. The production value of BSG2 is just awesome for a TV show.

Season 2 is by far the best overall, I was hoping that season 4 would be 13 episodes but it seems they want to repeat their mistakes by stretching it out over a lot more episodes.

'33' is without question the best episode yet.

It was, until Exodus Part II. Brace for turbulence.

Exodus Part II was frakking awesome. :D

I also really enjoyed Baltar's scenes on the Cylon ship, sort of a constant silent scream.

I felt the show jumped the shark when the cylon song that brought out the final four was a Jimi Hendrix tune. It's sort of gone downhill from there, though I'm still watching it. I finally understood the show when I watched an interview with the writers where they said they write the show drunk. It all makes perfect sense now.

Like having John Hodgman play a neurosurgeon, in his typical character. I mean, I think he's a great comedian, but suspension of disbelief was thrown out the airlock.

I agree, except that I would put the start of the decline even earlier than that episode. In season 2, the filler episodes were annoying, but the overall story arc was still good... in season 3, things went drastically downhill, rapidly accelerating towards the end.

I dunno how you can claim the later seasons have been inferior after the frankly, at times boring, filler of the first two seasons. Finally the show seems to have a purpose and a meaningful plot. It's good to finally get some answers.

Oh god there's a Bob Dylan song in it, the show is ruined. Oh god they made a complete throwaway character generic and humorous, what complete failure. Please find legitimate complaints.
