No. You just make another PC whenever you want.

FRCS or any other any D&D book talking about Slverymoon or Baldur's Gate. Those are the only server live anyway.

You are applying for membership to the ALFA community, not for a specific character. If one of your characters dies, you may create a new one, but only one character at a time. Well, you can have one NWN1 character and one NWN2 character simultaneously.
Samael Creed wrote:Is it ok for me to make minor changes to my application once it has been submitted/accepted, who do I talk to about doing this?
No changes to the application needed, you've been accepted. Welcome to ALFA, and you can look for your official welcome in your email account. The password for our servers is found here:

My advice is to read through ALFA's documentation, as it will answer many of your questions:

The following link tells you how to get started quickly, as a new player:

Some brief lore specifically for the TSM server can be read here:

Some brief lore specifically for the BG server can be read here:

We also have a lore forum here:

Last but not least you can always read one of the hundreds of books that have been published about the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting. The definitive guide on the setting, if you want to buy a book, is this one:

Good luck, and welcome to ALFA 8)

Wizards of the Coast Free Download page Grab "Volo's Guide to the North" and also "The North" which should give you a ton of ready on the Frozen North/Silverymoon area. These are old 2nd edition books so focus on the lore not the numbers. & stats.

I have these three wikis on my toolbar for quick referencing:

I finally ordered the expansion packs MotB and SoZ as well as alot of other stuff such as Magic the Gathering Starter set so me and my brother can learn to play, couple of books, a set of weights, some headphones and some xbox360 games. Payday FTW. Hopefully it should all arrive in the next week or so.

However, so much to do before I can start playing. Need to finish of some work on a website for a client. Help Zicada create the new ALFA website. Read through "The North" etc so I can follow the lore in game. Read the other books I bought. Play through the expansions. Learn to play Magic the Gathering with my brother. Cure cancer and end world hunger.

All I can say is, thank god for caffine.

Anywho, hopefully see some of you in game, over the coming weeks. If only to establish a presence if nothing else.

Thanks for helping Zic. There's quite a bit of work that goes into making the magic happen IG, and you've "done yourself proud" as they say out here.

Just got one question, though....uhmmm....what's an xbox?

I just started playing Magic the Gathering Online about a week ago. It is a great option for learning how to play since they basically give you a full 10th edition set of cards to practice with. There are no monthly fees but it costs an initial $9.99 to join. That money is given to you as a credit to spend in the store on cards or event tickets.

Even in just a few short days of playing there are so many things I love about the game: the strategy behind the plays, the interworkings of cards, the challenge of learning and bettering your gameplay. I've found the community to be willing to explain things to you. I think the general concensus is to help new players get over the learning curve so that there will be more people playing.

Every year they come out with a new set of cards. This works both as a money making scheme for Wizards of the Coast and it keeps the challenge and excitment alive for the players. Last week they came out with the next card expansion within this years set of cards. These are the Conflux cards that fall within the years set which is called Shards of Alara.

The interface on the site is great but the website itself is sometimes buggy. The new cards for Conflux were released just last week so there have been tons of opening week tournaments and more movement on the site than normal. This is causing serious lag at peak times. I expect they will fix the problem soon.

I bought the 9th edition starter set. It comes with 2 starter decks, booster pack, one special card, and a cd with the online version of the game meaning I don't have to pay the intial $9.99. I also get all the cards contained in the starter set added to the beginners set they give you online. Basically doubling your deck size online straight away.

Personally I think online versions of the games they produce is a great idea from WotC (however you should be able to enter a serial number off the cards you buy irl and add them to your online deck, paying twice for one card sucks). I just wish they would do a similar thing with DnD. I brought the 3.5 edition core rulebooks about 2 years ago and despite having read them from cover to cover I had no one to play with due to there been no local clubs. If they did an online version I would probably buy the 4th edition set just to play.
