the new stores

Are those "store area"s and "Return Bin"s active yet? And if so, how do they work as simple as they appear to?

If you get the message popping up as you approach the merchant ("entering store area"), they should be working. The minor bug I'd seen with them early on has been patched.

Basically, you just drop anything you want to return into the Returns Bin, then close it. Anything that's valid for return (bought from the same merchant, hasn't left the immediate area) gets refunded 100% and destroyed. If you've put an item in that wasn't valid for return, you'll get a message about it and be prompted to recover it from the bin

You'll also get a message as you leave the area around the merchant for each item that you bought, telling you that item X is no longer able to be returned.

Please report any further bugs with them here, or by PM if it's something exploitable.

PROPS TO THE A-MAN!

I heartilly applaud pulling this off, and getting it implemented so quickly since it was mentioned recently in one of the threads. I can't remember how many times I got tells with the following format: "LOL/ARGH!/DOH! I just blew Xgp buying the wrong potion/scroll/sword/ect.!"
<paazin> Elves I bet are kinda fun to play.
<BH|werksux> I prefer the trumpet or clarinet
<BH|werksux> elves wiggle too much

I want to thank and acknowledge AL for this in particular as well. As someone who requested this feature(along with others) I just want you to know how appreciated it is when you respond and with your absolutely awesome technical skills implement something that just instantly improves the game for everyone. Thanks for all you do.

And here's a bug:

6c Rauvinwatch: House of the Broken Ones - the Priest Samual Fynn can be spoken to from behind the benches, and will open his shop without the PC ever entering his "store zone".
