Re: Clothing
Here's an example of the RP clothing I made for my Haela cleric. Took 30 minutes and I was able to get pretty close to the description. Thanks to Vendrin for importing it for me.

Please also change the Category Field to New_PC_Items so we can find your stuff when we Import it.Wynna wrote:Name (include the {}): {PC'sName}_ItemType_SpecificsBrokenbone wrote: ...DMs aren't fussed much about naming conventions on tags & resrefs typically.

Re: Clothing
I agree about the 'preview before you buy' option. If putting mannequins in will cause lag, then hopefully there can be another way. Maybe there can be a thread in this forum with screenshots of all the outfits and what they look like on males and females.

Re: Clothing
Al in his graciousness is working on a workaround return bin where you place items and get your coin back. Working on a bin that will only accept items sold within the store, and will only accept items that you haven't left the store with....so no "trying on an outfit" leaving the store, then "returning" it two months later.
So no fears, something is in the works to where you can try on that 1 gp outfit and get your money back if you don't like it.

AL is the most awesome. (You're pretty cool too Dan =p)
As a complete toolset neophyte let me say that after numerous hours of frustration I finally bit the bullet, read a few tutorials from the vault and ... voila ... now I know how to make cool clothes and armor. I dare say if i can learn to do this anyone can. Now if i can only figure out why the erf i sent to Curm was empty ....

Re: Clothing
Will there, if this succeeds, then be an option to approperatly adjust pricing on some garments? I find it strange that a Nobles garb, is priced reasonably close, if not the same as urchin rags. I think it could add and interesting dimension to RP if clothing worn marked one as prosperous or not.danielmn wrote:Al in his graciousness is working on a workaround return bin where you place items and get your coin back. An admirable suggestion, but given the realities of coin generation and the fact that all start equally. This would likely ensure that all PC's entering SM enter as paupers, thus limiting the choice of backgrounds.
An interesting suggestion, but I'd have to give it a -1.
Although it could work well if DM's didn't mind looking over backgrounds and enabling players who want to PC's in the trappings of wealth by supplying them with appropriate clothing (and even a full purse would be fine IMHO), in which case I would give it a +1.

Re: Clothing
I will be adding in a pretty vast selection I hope. Right now, from one model alone I have 16 different variant models from eight color choices and two size choices. Smaller items for gnomes and halflings will be reduced in weight. I will likely have many stores with in the store itself, each having a selective inventory, ie hats, cloaks, boots, regular clothes, posh cloths. We'll see how it adds up.

Re: Clothing
Have you seen this mask that is a full face metal mask? Looks a little like Destro from the old GI Joe cartoons. Would it be possible to combine that with the deep dark hood?
Re: Clothing
Only if the hood is part of the armor. I have had both of these working together with the Kelemvor robes I think. Can post an image later.

Re: Clothing
So the two can not be combined to make a single head slot item in the toolset?
