If "ones own accord" is the same as "with the DMA's encouragement and approval, with the concept raised and given no objection at the DM meeting" sure.
Also, there are no huge differences between the titles anyway, other than some additional voting.
Wonderful! You'll step down as admin, then, and continue to run the vault/ website/ forums while someone uninvolved has power over the position?
As far as I know (i might be wrong), no official review of a HDM app by zelk was ever completed. To my understanding, zelk retracted the application as well as the offer to rebuild and host WD before hand.
Incorrect. I withdrew my offer after I was rejected and after the server was completed.
Thus any reason she may have had were never caused by an official notice on HDMship from admin,
Incorrect. I recieved offcial notice from Ayergo on November 7.

Someone should have probably said something before she went through the trouble then. At the very least.
Should have, but didn't. I was, instead, informed that things "might" not turn out well after the server was ready and had been sitting unreviewed for three weeks followed a week later by being informed that I wasn't to be HDM.

As dergon says, there may be other solutions; the module is on the DM FTP. It needs someone else to run it. It just won't be me. I'm not going to push, demand votes, try to rally a rebellion or any such nonsense. I've just stopped working for ALFA, and hope that everyone understands when I say I can't handle the B.S. anymore.
Okay... so as Zic said no "official" action from you or Admin then? [edit: oops answered above]

Zelk why not submit an HDM app and see what happens, at least this way we know who to be grumpy with ... you for quitting or Admin for not letting you help.

On a side note though ... just for clarification, if one was to submit a proposal to build a server / refurbish one, if that is approved ...that doesn't mean they are automatically granted HDM status, right? Like the server has to be rated at Beta 6.26alpha or something...Isn't this what happened to Rick?

I can understand folks wanting the recognition and "say" (vote) in matters after putting a lot of effort into something. And there is a thread somewhere's in the Admin/DM forum that is addressing that very question...

How does ALFA encourage contribution...well this certainly is the opposite of encourage.

Because I did, and it was rejected. See above.

Can I suggest people wait for the DMA to explain his side, before setting fire to the building?

Woah, hey there folks. Y'all need to chill out and not post a million times an hour.

Since you all really want to know here's what happened.

Zelk said i wanna fix up waterdeep.

I said cool, do it.

Zelk was concerned the other HDMs wouldn't let her HDM, i offered to HDM it and let her EADM if necessary.

Zelk finished, looked good lots of good stuff.

Some HDMs expressed concern over her personally. I offered the compromise solution of EADM again.

Zelk refused, saying HDM or no go.

No more drama lamas on this.
There's a place I like to hide
A doorway that I run through in the night
Relax child, you were there
But only didn't realize and you were scared
It's a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the years
And ride the whims of your mind
Locked
