Howdy all.
I just took the feat "exotic weapon proficiency" on level-up with my PC cleric in NWN2.
Upon attempting to equip a bastard sword I receive a message "You do not have the proficiencies to equip that item"
I lack the feat "martial weapon proficiency" which is a D&D pre-req for exotic. However, the NWN2 engine readily aloowed me to take exotic with only "simple weapon proficiency" as a pre-existing feat.
Is "Martial weapon proficiency" a scripted pre-req for exotic?

It is for bastard sword.
I'll let the techies explain it.

Because the techies scripted it so the bastard sword could be used two handed if you only had martial weapon proficiency and unpredicted byproduct is if you have EWP and not MWP you can't use it all.
It was nice, but seems more trouble then worth as who would use a Bastard Sword two handed when you could just use a greatsword.
