Log in Problems

Ok, I'm trying to come back to the fold, give it another try. I've got the game updated now, but when I attempt to login to both Silver Marches or the OAS, I get errors, that the module isn't loading correctly. I'm sure the errors on my end, but I have no idea what to fix. Any ideas?

Run Worldgate again. You might have a corrupt file. Make sure your patched all the way to 1.13 with the hotfix. Those are about the only two things I can think of. Maybe clear your override folder if you havent as well.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think the NWN2 OAS is running on minimal haks so there shouldn't be a problem. Try removing evening from your Overrides and Haks folder and run Worldgate once more.

A not uncommon event is corruption of the PWC.

If your pwc is up to date and Worldgate doesn't fix it, try re-d/ling it

What is the error correctly?

Three possibilities:
1. Corrupted/missing hak
2. Corrupted/missing pwc
3. Outdated NWN2 version

Couldn't let you be the only n00b in ALFA Fluff. As for the error, it's starting to load up the module, and then just kicks me up, saying error loading hte module. I've done the haks several times, WorldGate thrice (that's a cool word), and no luck. what is the pwc that I need to try? And if that doesn't work, I"m just going to uninstall, and reload the entire game again.

Ok, I'm brain dead when it comes to stuff like this, I'm going to have to just unistall and re-install the game and expansion, and haks, and files, and crap. So it will take a while. I'm in the middle of moving, so probably by Labor day. In the meantime, if I get any free time, I'll try and log back into NWN1, I hear Valdimir needs some fresh meat to gnaw on.

It definitely sounds like your PWC files (or lack thereof) are the source of the problem from that description.

The link given above should work for TSM's PWC.

For the OAS2, you'd need to download it here:

In both cases, you'll want to unRAR the files (so they end up with a .pwc file extension) and drop them in your /documents/neverwinter nights 2/pwc/ folder.

Should be no need to reinstall.
