ALFA in NWN Con 4

How about a chat and we give an open invite to hop on the server and look around?

I was thinking of putting SP up for a squiz, but PWC files will become an issue pretty quick. Don't forget to have one handy and linked up for download if anyone does want to take a look.

Thats perfectly fine, Ayergo. Just need you to specify what day, time you would like to do that.

I agree. We could make a seperate NWCon page on our website with every file needed to play on any of the servers if need be. Wouldnt be hard to create im sure. If you would like to put SP up for the weekend of the Con Indio please PM me to let me know for sure. I need specifics to let those over at NWC know. We cant do any Ad Hoc/spur of the moment stuff for the Con.

Friday Sept 26th, 5:30-10ish

Open invitation to hop on server and look around is just that, open. Its always up, i figure i'll just mention in chat where the pwc file is and let them have a look around at their leisure unless there are any objections.

bah.. I am working that weekend so my times for anything will be severely limited to the Saturday/Sunday GMT 900-1300 if you want to get anything sane out of me..

I can help DM (NWN2, although I will need a run through on one of the betas or the OAS2 with someone) or join in any chats at these times..

I'd host the 006 mod but it uses tonnes of custom content and therefore peeps would need the hakz0rs..

We're going to be hosting a copy of the TSM server for this, passwordless. I'd like to transfer the database and characters in their entirety so new applicants trying ALFA out can interact with our current character set; playing, mentoring and DMing on the temporary server is encouraged, and ideally I'd like for there to be things going on around the clock. (note though that anything done on this server doesn't transfer over to the "live" version)

Also, I'm planning to integrate our summoning work into this and also possibly the book system - it could be an interesting draw for us:

Alrighty turning in the list today. I will include TSM being up all weekend long. If anything changes I ask you to contact me so I can let NWC know, but I truly hope that once everyone commits to these times they will honor them.

Here is what im turning into NWC. If anything changes let me know. Also Indio you mentioned Skullport but never committed. If you can do it for sure please let me know. We cant do things on the fly. I have to let them know for sure. Also, Marklos, you were going to get back with me with what you wanted to do, but never PM'd me back after telling me you would. So, I had to not put you on the list cause I have no idea what you wanted to do. If we can still add you Id be happy to do so but please contact me.

All day Friday-Sunday: The Silver Marches NWN2 Persistant World will be up and running for the entire convention. We are making a copy of our Live server open to the public so they can play on it.They will have to download our haks and pwc. We will provide links. Our ALFA players will also hop on to play with the public and our DMs will be holding ad hoc events.

One thing Id like to see is if anyone from PR or Admin would show up to Nalo's IRC discussion on Saturday. We could use a few faces that day and having an Admin or so would look really good. One more thing.

I need to get with whomever is controlling the website/forums and have them make a page either on the website or our forums with all the current Haks and PWC files for all servers that will be up and running that weekend. I want a new uncluttered forum or page so prospective members will be able to see exactly what they need and not have to travel all over the place looking for things.

One other thing. ALL DMs who said they are going to DM at NWCon4. You must sign up at Neverwinter Connections before the Con and you will use their service adding your times to their matching making service. Its very easy to do and Id be happy to help you do it, but im not doing it for you. It requires you to make an account and NWC demands that all games or events be done through their service.

We'll be running this server Sept 26-28, a passwordless copy of the live TSM - anyone can log in and if you want to give a try at DMing, just post in the thread on the forum.

Not really. Everything is in place. People are set to help out over there. They just gotta show when they said they would. I will still help out the PR team with anything they need if they ask me. I think I left them in pretty good shape.
