ALFA poker night

Post by zicada »

Sup guys,

We had a chat on IRC about possibly doing an ALFA online poker night. We can find a poker network that allows private tables, and create our own, with a password only we know about.

I suggest running a tournament, with say a $5 buyin. And then a cashgame paralell, so people who are eliminated from the tourney can have some fun with the others until theres a winner.

It'd be nice to maybe agree on the winnings from the tournament going towards an ALFA donation, plus maybe something else nice for the winner.

I suggest No Limit Texas Hold'em. Post your ideas about buyin both for the tourney and the cashgame, aswell as times and so on.

I'd go for anything up to £10 ($20) for a tournament buy in. I'd rather keep the money myself but I suppose we can consider charity :P

Why not make it interesting and go all the way to £100.

You and me, sure. Most here are probably not used to playing poker for that sort of money though. If we're going to get some players, we need to keep it down a bit i think.
