Your opinion is no doubt justifiable. Your rudeness is not. That's all.

Inaubryn wrote: Faeryl, sweetheart, how are ya? First of all, by no means consider my departure from the underdark and ALFA at-large your fault. This had absolutely nothing to do with anything you did or didn't do. I'm actually building an underdark area, just not for ALFA. That being said, I'm glad to see you still have interest in the the project and maybe some of the new administrators can get ALFA turned around to the point that it attracts more creative minds, like your own, that want to stay here.

Good luck and I'd be happy to help or at least contribute in a consulting capacity, maybe even more so down the line.
Hello Inny! It's good to hear from you dear. :D

I'm glad you don't feel like I abandoned you. Real life took over my time for much longer than I had ever expected, and I felt like I had walked out on everyone. Honestly, I felt like a real ass for it. When I was going to come back at the end of last year, ALFA seemed like a very grim and angry place. It wasn't what I was looking for in entertainment. Sounds like you were in a similar mind set.

I hope you are enjoying your current sandbox. Have fun playing in it! I may contact you sometime for input, but with Mik and Ven still around and all the others who have stepped up to volunteer to help (both in this thread and via PM) I feel like I have an abundance of support. Still, your help would be more than welcome! I'd be sad if you didn't at least stop in to play.

Take care sweetie! We'll talk again I'm sure.

Helios wrote: I played as a drow once. I gotta say its worst bloody thing ever in ALFA. The xp was atrocious and gameplay was dull then again maybe it was my fault for being a lowborn commoner in a house. - which for some reason I wasn't treated like one. I'm glad I didn't stick with that character because I can clearly see the B.S. of highbie drow murdering the frick out of Faerun not to mention each other. They should call it grief roleplaying.
Helios, I'm sorry you had a bad experience on NU. It might be helpful if you PM me with details of the specific issues you had. Since I'm in the earliest stages of design, now is the time for input on where improvements can be made.

Constructive criticism goes much farther than talking trash. Honest.

Hi Faeryl, welcome back! It's nice to see some of the familiar faces returning to ALFA, especially Mik's infamous right hand.

Personally, one of the most tense (in the good way) and intense RP experiences I had in NWN1 was around the drow players of Skullport. Building a new underdark server to support and, perhaps, even draw in more of these kinds of people is a great idea.

In my case, I don't believe I have the skill for subversion and intrigue to be able to properly play a drow or most other underdark race. However, I would be more than happy to beta test once the time comes and who knows? Once the server goes Live, my current incarnation might find a reason to delve into the Lands Below :)

All the best and good luck!
