Mik, very nice to meet you.

For about a year now I've been trying to establish the same kind of thing on various NWN2 servers - a single, reliable "game night" where my family and work and RL leave me be to play a proper 4-hour-plus session. I've made myself available pretty much like clockwork every Wednesday night from 6pm EST until late - with little to no success getting any regular session from any other players or DMs on a variety of servers. Folks seem to prefer to play randomly whenever they have time, rather than set up a specific night for it.

So, I'm extremely happy to see there's at least one other person looking to make that kind of (partial) commitment. As you say, ad-hoc gaming may be easier for some folks, but for me, I prefer having a night I know I'll be involved in a regular, serialized, ongoing thing, and that I can plan my RL around.

If you're up for something like that count me in for sure. Wednesdays are better for me but I can try switching to Thursdays for a while to see how I do. This coming Wednesday and Thursday are both bad, actually, but that rarely happens; I'm moving my game night to tonight (tuesday) starting at 6pm. Nontheless if Thursday frees up I'll try to turn up then too, and starting next week I can do thursdays regularly. PST doesn't bother me that much since I can play pretty late, though might have to bail a bit earlier than some of you if it starts getting too far past midnight here.

I much prefer a good-aligned party. And ultimately my character kinda can't play at all without a party to support - he's not really able to manage on his own (in terms of combat at least). So I'd love to be involved in such. See you then!

edit: character is Benedict Puck, level 2 neutral good cleric.

No big deal, Mik. It was in my sig line, but for clarity, it's Claina (level 2 rogue), and AFAIK, the only PC resident of Rivermoot that I've yet come across.

I think I'd enjoy joining in the group. My character is lawful neutral leaning good. Getting him to be an "adventurer" would be difficult though as he views himself as retired from combat, but if you needed a guide or a porter, and were willing to make the right contributions to a cause, he could be convinced.

Oh, of course, I know Claina. And Vellya came very close to being a permanent resident of Rivermoot - she was going to buy/build a cottage there with Farran. Alas, that dream ended with his death, and now Vellya sleeps alone in the cold stone dormitories of the Red Knight's spartan church, where tiny violins play mournful dirges all through the evening just for Vellya's grief. Or something like that.

Okay, so it seems like we have quite an ambitious (yet tentative) group forming. If I have this right, it's (in no specific order):

Stephenhamilton
Milayla
Hughes
Avaz
OGR
MorbidKate

Maybe's:
Lusipher (?)
fairdady (?)

Am I missing anyone?

This is shaping up to be a nice group. I've enjoyed awesome one on one and group RP with all of you except stephen who I have yet to encounter IG I believe. Its melee heavy though. Thoughts on balance?

Here's a recap, please post corrections:

Stephenhamilton -- sounds like non combat
Mikayla -- tank of hotness
Hughes -- cleric I think
Avaz -- rogue
OGR -- ranger
MorbidKate -- cleric

Maybe's:
Lusipher (?) -- paladin
fairdady (?) -- I'm guessing fighter =)

Alright, there seems to be a large call for DM participation starting about 6pm PST. In two-three days, i will endeavor to make it my 'start' time for DMing every day. And i will continue until i drop. If other DMs, with more DM Client experience, are around, i will take a backseat and work the puppets.

Do note, i will not restrict myself to this time, but i will aspire to login at said time. Hope this helps a bit.

I'm afraid 6pm PST is too early for me. I can't be on till after 9pm PST on any night. The rigors of the bath/bed/book/goodnight kiss life. If that's the time that folks need, I'd better back out now. I'm very sorry to have gotten anybody's hopes up.
Enjoy the game

Sounds like a maybe! :)

My character is a sorcerer. I can usually make Thursdays, although this week I will probably be heading up north.

That works for me. You are not getting off the hook so easily. I am fine with a 9 PM PST start time. How about others?
