Tieflings allowed?

Post by mishmash »

Hi

I got a steady connection to the internet for my laptop so I was thinking of playing a bit of ALFA in my free time. I had an idea for a new PC, a tiefling, but before I write a bio or create the character, I'd like to know if they're allowed in ALFA2. I have searched the forums quite a lot but I can't find any reference to this, could anyone tell me if they are allowed or not?

Thanks
Misha

I'm not sure what the last word was on this issue but their inclusion is on hold atm.

Save your idea for later and get back in game! :)

Or... play the concept with another race. You don't have to be a Tiefling to have fiendish blood. Anyone might have. :demon:

IIRC, along with Genasi they were being considered for inclusion in the 'extraordinary' approval process.

There was also some discussion about stats and abilities being modified but, again, this is business waiting for our new DMA.
People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.

Wasn't there some technical stuff also involved?

Thangorn's name (and his team of zero volunteers) comes to mind on some sort of scripting stuff, but I am hazy on it, it's been awhile.
ALFA NWN2 PCs: Rhaggot of the Bruised-Eye, and Bamshogbo
ALFA NWN1 PC: Jacobim Foxmantle

I put a proposal to admin to run a 3 month trial on the Moonsea Beta 2 server addressing all admin's concerns regarding their inclusion as a playable race. This trial was voted on and was approved by admin.

Since i moved countries it has taken me few months to get my build rig back together however so the process has been somewhat stalled.
As soon as a builder who is currently building stuff for ALFA takes a look in the NWN2 toolsetting forum and answers my questions HERE I'll get right on it.. :)
