Vs. Rivermoot
Moderators: Wynna, NWN2 - 03 DM
Farran Doth can be seen sharpening long sturdy branches leftover from the dwarves work, forming them into spears, and placing them in between the lathes of the wooden fence surrounding Rivermoot proper, so that the points stick out from the fence and upward at a 45 degree angle.

Farran can be seen installing stakes on the riverbank opposite Rivermoot...meanwhile Attal can be seen perfecting a short spike for both underwater and above water use.
*the stakes for the fence have yet to be placed, as Farran recieved wisdom it is perhaps better to slow the enemy down on the other side of the river before slowing them down at the fence*

Claina regularly speaks with townspeople and guards, giving cheerful pep talks to those who seem fearful or generally not in the best of moods.

The orcs attacked once more. They burnt a bit of the plantation, although the crops seemed to be okay. They also had a catapult which they attacked with, it was taken down after it (luckily) missed the bridge. Hopefully someone has the logs.

No orcs have been reported near the town for over a tenday. Occasional solitary attacks have come upon sellswords adventuring in the hills, but there has been no recent of "organized" orcish forces.ThinkTank wrote:right, anything happen while I was busy?
Rumors are even going around among some villagers and adventurers that the orcs have withdrawn and that there is no attack forthcoming.

Each day since the last orc attack Thoron En' Anoron performs a patrol around the environs of Rivermoot, (plantation and ridge, hollows, dogleg dell) slaying any hostiles he finds -- especially orcs -- either himself or with a hastily formed party. Several times he has impaled orc heads on wooden stakes near where the orcs were camped close to town as a warning. He does this to maintain an active "presence" in the areas around the town and effectively push back the "border" controlled by the town. He varies the sequence of his patrol each time to confound any spies. ((OOC done each time I log on since the last orc attack -- spawns encountered maybe 20% - 30% of time)).
Recently, a large group of the town's defenders led by Vellya raided both orc mines in the hills above Rivermoot to weaken their forces, slaying all orcs they encountered without and within. Efforts were made to descend into the lower levels of the mine in the north east hills without success.
((OOC I would much prefer to do this with DM interaction but there is rarely a DM on when I play. I think it is IC for my "ranger" type PC to patrol and police the borders surrounding the town against incursions, spies etc. In fact, given the multiple attacks it would be foolish not to do so. If a DM thinks this is farming I will stop))
