Negative. It's just so you can see detail.

This is what it looks like in-game.

Ah, see now that's more like it (phosphorescent ceiling moss, luminescent fungi, driftglobes!) Thank you sir. I need to be spoon-fed around here.

Meh. I'd rather DM there.

All of the quests I've made are bounties, largely because I can make large numbers of them in good time. I've been testing the first set for the last couple of hours and the first set seem to be working fine. 3 sets to go. My conversion to DSL2 happens tomorrow supposedly, so with any luck we'll be up and running soon.

Your a machine indio

As an aside, who are you going with for ADSL2? There are hardly any ISPs offering it that count uploads these days.

The Empire of course, the evil Tel$tra. My exchange was DSL2 enabled last month, and no other ISP will ever do it given the low numbers on our exchange. Against my better judgement, but a 1MB/sec upload can't be ignored for hosting. It's worth a shot even as a beta server. So I'm getting the $20 a month Next G Mobile deal, the home phone line (which we already had through telstra) and switching broadband from Internode to Telstra. Telstra give 50% off the broadbad charge for 12 months with that setup, so it's actually cheaper than Internode over 2 years, if you can believe it. VOIP is now going through MyNetPhone who seem pretty cheap and well organised. Still, the achilles heel will no doubt be upload counting towards the cap. I'll know within a month or two.

Good news.

ADSL2 is up and running with an upstream of about 75KB/second, bumping my upload by 50KB/second from 20KB. Pings won't be great so responsiveness will always be down for US and Euro types, but combat lag should be significantly lessened.

I've got a Start Area in, and after some final tests of the quests tonight I'll be getting the server into beta1 (either 24 or 48 hours). With a significantly smaller scope than TSM's build, plus all the improvements cipher and AL have introduced into the various module systems, this beta should be significantly shorter.

Looks incredible indio. Can't wait to see it in person.

Most of the quests seem to be working fine, so I'll get a mod up in the next 12 hours. Over the next month or so a DM team would need to develop to take the module Live, so now would be a good time to step up for the future HDM.
