Horrible Lag

Post by jmecha »

Today I experinced horrible Lag for the first time on TSM. Has anyone else had Lag issues since the update? Could it be related to crazy amounts of horse spawns?

any suggestions to help me combat lag?

Where were you when it occurred?

The Horses are spawning an aweful lot but the deer and other animals are not.

I walked from Silverymoon to Rivermoot finally getting a quest, and I saw a ton of horses.

However, lag was not an issue with me.

I would think it has to do with the horse creature decay time or something, because it looks like they are not despawning so that when they respawn they are multiplying. Knd of like some of the NPC's and guards were double spawning before.

Perhaps take a look at the horse creature blueprints.

I noticed a significant amount of lag where there were vast herds of horses

Edit: Horse corpses do not decay. And I am not sure if horses despawn before they respawn.

Well that would explain the huge herds.

From the starting area to Rivermoot, the Tavern in Rivermoot, all along the High Way to High Hold, and the Tavern across the river from High Hold I experinced choppy lag. Maybe it is my internet connection today is bad or maybe it is something with the new content. I just thought I would post to see if anyone else is having issues.

We'll be making changes tonight to the spawns that should hopefully help clear this up. Stay on the well-known tracks until then.

I've put some spawns on hold, please post if there is other unexplained lag, and we'll try to narrow it down.

Drats, I was just about to create a character "Herne the Horse Hunter", and set up a tannery in Silvy.
