Apology accepted. My original post did not specify a group because I had not thought that far ahead. What I knew was that I wanted DM time, and I knew there were a bunch of players (Mags included) who did not really fit into the other already-arranged DM groups. When DarkHin pointed out that our inability to participate in the Crypt plot was because of self-limitations, I had to discuss the specifics of the players involved and it made me think more about what kind of "group" could form around a US time zone DM. And so I got more specific. I was not trying to hide the ball in my first post at all - and let me be clear - I want DM time. For me. And for my friends. And for the folks standing around me and my friends.

As for complaining about the DMs on TSM - I haven't done it, that I can remember, even once. I have lauded the DMs for their work here, for their achievement on the server and for their clear dedication to bringing this server to life. I have been fortunate to catch Indio, Darren and Wynna as DMs here and there over the last three weeks and all are great. I have no complaints towards the TSM DM team at all. Infact, the whole point of my post is that I want MORE of them.

Anyway, I hope that explains where I am coming from.

Also, the post header is in all caps. Always a good way to set the initial anxiety level to high.

It took me being an asshat in chat to realize what you really meant, hence why I sat down and wrote out that explanation and apology, so you really had no reason to clarify. No point in doing the apology through private since I made the display of idiocy public.

You haven't complained, that part wasn't directed at you. Perhaps a lot of people in chat just jokingly complain, I guess I shouldn't be surprised by that. I just hear it enough that I think it's a legitimate issue and it begins to irk me... and I think we all know, at least once in our life, how small things can build up, even if in jest. My issue just stemmed from me going, "Oh not again!" and jumping on a seemingly missing bandwagon before actually realizing it left the station a while ago (do bandwagons go in stations? I always assumed it was like pilgrims traveling with their oxen and horses in a bunch of coach thingies).

Anyway, I guess fluff is correct... posting is not my strong point, and I ought to just keep it to the game and only the game before I stick my foot further in my mouth and start making random accusations.

There seems to be alot of drama in this thread simply for the sake of making drama.

Now ive never been one to shy away from drama, but drama with a purpose and drama for the sake of drama are two rather different things ;)

I'm not afraid of any players and I would gladly f you up if you are in one of my campaigns.

I'm actually a really nice DM and don't like it when players die, so if you do die, it'll always be a severe case of fair.
<Burt>: two dudes are better than one.

Yeah... I think that attitude from DMs went the way of the dodo ages ago and I just wasn't aware of it yet.

edit: That attitude being the "zomg! PLAYERS! NUUUU~!" one.

DMs are a limited resource, and I actually admire how diplomatically any player approaches me when I'm on (rarely now, as I'm building again). Pretty much all requests are made with the sort of courtesy that makes it a pleasure to assist.

It's good to see Magile display some human qualities. Too long all I've known him as is a guy who didn't like me much for reasons I wasn't aware of, but that's the beauty of rp...in-game he's the guy whose character has helped forge the incredibly high standards of rp on our server.

By the way, if people are being disrespectful in IRC then hopefully everyone knows it's little more than showing off or bad manners. Don't take it seriously, or do what I do, and simply ignore the fact that IRC exists for anything other than working with fellow ALFAns.

I think that stemmed from only seeing one side of all the controversy, indio. You can be assured that whatever angst I may have had at one point, it's literally forgotten. I do apologize (yeesh, this thread is going to take all the sap out of me) if you still felt that way.

I think the reason that angst came about was around the time there was an admin issue, also with the whole "Halp! A DM trapped my uber-level PC!" moment (which again, is the one-side of it all that I spoke about). That issue is actually what sparked, well, what I said about people giving DMs flak and the whole fear of the player, as I remember it became a witch hunt afterwards.

Certainly no need to apologise. You've been crucial to the success of TSM, you've been a tremenedous support to the DM team and to any players I've seen you rp with. And watching you handle yourself in this thread has been instructive, which I'm grateful to you for also.
