UI Mods

Post by ElCadaver »

Does anyone know which UI mods are compatible with ALFA's current NWN2 setup?

I've found Fire and Ice's big fonts removes all the text from PC Tools, and XUI stuffs the ability to be able to select your character befor logging in.

What UI mod do you use? Looking for a good toolbar, map and default action option

thanks Indio, its very pretty, but I'm a minimalist. I like as little on the screen as possible, and also want a default commands bar. I think you should be able to drag the default commands into the quickslot bar, but you can't.

I'm not aware of any UI mods that are fully compatible with ALFA's haks. It's possible there are some out there that would work smoothly in combination with the alfa_gui.hak, but only if there was no file overlap between our customized elements. Even Heed's PC Tools and the DMFI are adapted for ALFA before use, so UIs meant to interact with one or both of those may not perform as expected.

If someone has one they really prefer which offers significant improvements over the base NWN2/MotB UI, I can compare files for conflicts- but incorporating a vault UI mod may mean another level of complications in maintaining compatibility with future NWN2 patches.

All we would need to incorporate really is a longer main quickslot bar, and a default actions modebar, IMO.
