Good bye password?

Post by Nalo Jade »

I was looking into NWNConnections and found Wynna's post in the PW Announcement's topic so I added a reply to let folks know TSM NWN2 was live....

Then I came across a topic "Applications! <Rant>"

Some guy that was ticked off that he had to fill out applications just to try out the world, and I thought ... hehe the ALFA was smarter and someone came up with the OAS, which has proven in many cases to be a better way to evaluate folks. I remember the OAS from NWN1 being pretty small...and empty...

So I got to thinking...

(Shut up Vendrin, I know, we had a PM talk and all...I don't care.)

What if we scrapped the password?

And each server had its own "OAS" players could get a "small taste" of a server, but not be able to go in and wreck stuff. We would certainly get more hits of people making up characters and logging in to see what all these servers were about ....

anyway that is for you ruffians to discuss. From a PR stance I think it would give us more exposure. But we HAVE to make sure the OAS is FUN...don't slap em with the rule book right off, ease em into it.

Er... Just a player here, not a builer or anything, but I'm not so keen on the idea either.

I dont mind people challenging tradition to see whether it is still valid but my answer to that question stands..
